Broncos-Chargers

I think they're peaking too early both offensively and defensively, but they sure look like the best team in the league (don't trust the Cowboys yet) currently

Quoted for emphasis. You can't dominate from September to February. They will lose a key player or two just like every other team.

You have to respect Rivers, yes he has that ****y face, but the guy played the AFCCG with a torn ACL, while his "classy" RB sat on the bench with his head buried.

who is out on San Diego side?

Ryan Matthews, Mante Teo, Donald Brown, and Brandon Flowers are officially out. Steve Williams and Jason Verrett are possibly out. So the Chargers are going to dangerously depleted at RB and CB. Plus Freeney is really banged up and may not play (although listed as probable).

I think SD will beat them in SD. Broncos by double digits tonight at home. Makes next week very important if the Pats want to avoid going back to Denver in the playoffs.

Elway has built arguably the most talented team in the league

I used to really dislike the Chargers but looking back I think it was mostly because of Tomlinson.
Kinda like that team now. Rivers won me over as a fan with that AFCCG performance....

You sure don't see the Pats act and talk trash the way they did at the end of that 2006 playoff game very often...so you know they had a good reason to.

I'm torn. I want San Diego to win, but a broncos loss would mean an angry peyton manning next week.

this will be close at half IMO...but blowout in 3rd and 4th..all thursday games usually are except ours.

Manning plays a banged up Charger team today...and then us with no Mayo or Jones..talk about lucky

I will say this however..if the chargers win tonight...they are winning that division

I forgot to mention that they have already lost their starting and back up center (Nick Harwick & Doug Legurgsky), Danny Woodhead, and Melvin Ingram to IR (Ingram is designated to return).

I like they are having a good game on Thursday night football. Now that I think it is almost too good. These teams won't be ready to play the way we know they can. I would rather this be the Sunday or Monday night match up. Feels like a waste to do it now.

we know 1 wild card is coming out of this division...afraid it will be SD with the afc champ game in denver yet again....

Well, if the Broncos are the #1 seed, it would be impossible unless both Wild Card teams in the AFC win Wild Card weekend (and that is only if San Diego is the higher Wild Card seed). If SD is a Wild Card team and the Broncos are the #1 seed, they are going to meet in the division round at the latest.

EDIT: Sorry I thought you said that they would meet in Denver for the AFC Championship, not just that Denver would be hosting the AFC Championship.

Peyton doesn't get angry. He just sulks. Nothing to worry about.

Yep. Their defense is playing well. But I'm still awaiting the inevitable Talib hip injury. It might not happen until the playoffs, but it will happen.

I am waiting for the WAre injury.

I see what you are saying as well...but it wouldn't matter. They have 10 days off before us. win or lose tonight..it will be the same

Ya i meant AFC champ game no matter what would be in denver yet again if they make it that far. If everyone stays healthy..they should be able too..

Chargers are gonna roll with this one. I believe sd is the team to beat in this division honestly. They can shut down this offense and Denver's d isn't as scary imo as many make it out to be.

Denvers D is very good..much better then last year...15 sacks between ware and miller? If that isn't legit then i don't know what is right now.
