After the season, though, get Hopkins, draft Gurley with Texans #1, draft top OG with our own #1, get more defense and OL with rest of picks. Lordy, that would be a nice way to pick up the pieces after the amazing Brady era. Different from the Colts post Manning but equally intriguing. If this Brady trade somehow happens some day, it sure as hell won't be during this season while we are 5-2. Please.

Don't hate me, I love Brady With a passion and would be fine keeping him until he retires. But in February if I could get Hopkins and Gurley while having a full draft + (Mankins and comp picks) it would be tough to pass assuming they like The Jimmy as much as they seem to.

When i read posts like this, I get the feeling that a lot of people around these parts take TB for granted in a major way. There is NO WAY the Pats trade Brady unless and until he is in major decline - and anyone saying that now is a moron.
Brady, Manning, Brees, Rodgers...you just DON'T trade people like that unless you're in a situation like the Colts (with a once-a-generation QB waiting for you) or unless the decline is obvious.
Patradomous, are you Greg Garber?
Hardy f'n har.
Get use to the rumors that day may be closer than you think. And get use to that fact. If BB got a Hershel Walker like deal for Brady he'd do it without thinking twice.
So whistle past the graveyard and guffaw all you'd like but the day is coming.
Paraphrasing from the article:"B-b-b-but Garoppolo! He could be better than Romo!"
Yeah, like that's high praise.
I want Garoppolo to succeed as much as the next Pats fan, and compared to some starting QBs in the league Romo...well let's just say he isn't the worst. But when Brady finally does ride off into the sunset. I hope Garoppolo isn't even in the same paragraph as Romo. Nevermind the same sentence.
Nice post.So if you do this, you trade a away a QB who, over the next three years, will likely remain the best QB your franchise ever has.
Yes, he's that good.
I'd trade Brady right now...for Aaron Rodgers, maybe, or Andrew Luck maybe, or possibly even Russel Wilson (just love that kid), but NONE of them are as good as Brady RIGHT NOW. I'd be doing it for the extra years.
Seriously, that's it.

This is silly. You're letting ESPN narrative get in the way of rationality. Romo has consistently been a top quarterback in the league for the last decade (http://cowboysblog.dallasnews.com/2...boys-qbs-these-stats-could-surprise-you.html/).
If Garropolo turns out to have a career on par with Tony Romo's for the Patriots, we should all be very, very happy.
