You know you are a Pats Fan when...

You were convinced that 1981 was gonna be THE year!

The Undertaker will always be Vincent Brown and not some wrestler.

You were excited about the hiring of Rod Rust.

You don't care what she says, you know that Irving Fryar's wife went straight for his hand... um, too soon? Or should have said it before this season?

You also know that Irving Fryar is now a pastor*

You also know that Friar Tuck from Robin Hood is therefore, by the recombinent property of playoff lore, any Pats Fan's favorite Robin Hood character.

* albeit one indicted on mortgage fraud charges

When your first game you went was in Fenway Park against the Bills and Babe Parelli was QB and the late US Senator Jack Kemp was Buffalo's QB.
When you drove 80 miles in a to sit in a driving sideways noreaster rainstorm to watch Scott "missin" Sisson miss two 25 yard field goals and lose to the Jets 6-0.
When the last game you saw you spent 1500$ to go to Kansas City and you endure record noise to sit in silence to see your team take their worse beaten in 20 years.
To be a season ticket holder back in the day when their were only 25000 season tickets sold.
When you wore a pat Patriot Painters hat 30 years before you even heard the expression "pink hat."

When you've done these things you've earned the right to question the teams moves or none moves,
So in the words of the most famous clutch kicker in NFL history that was let go because of a few dollars.
DON"T TALK TO ME!

... you got one girlfriend to dress up in the top of the Pat Patriot continental army uniform and white knee highs and... sorry, that's just wrong.

How about,

...When Colts-Patriots became a regular ritual of two QBs who would fight for 60 minutes to beat each other... and it was Steve Grogan and Bert Jones

(And you drove to Memorial Stadium in Baltimore to see it... and got followed halfway back to virginia by some guys pissed off at your little patriots flag on the antenna one year when we won...)

I gotta try cardboard with sauce. :) I'll get to it before Papa John's.

Squish the Fish means something (bonus if you still have a tee shirt).

You think it might have ended differently if Grogan had started.

You remember the Toilet Bowl.

You remember thinking that moving to CT is better for us than St Louis.

You think of 1976 as the good old days.

You remember that Foxboro is NOT the house that Brady built.

You know what the "elephant' position is.

You remember a great 8th round draft choice.

199 has a special meaning.

A snow plow coming out to the field brings a smile.

The name "Mosi" being a smile to your face.

You thank the good Lord every night that Kraft bought the team.

Apparently you have to be 50+ to be a true Pats fan.

The best part was seeing Shula try to get the ref to put the snow back. http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-netwo...8bba/Top-Ten-Weather-Games-The-Snow-Plow-Game
That link makes you happy.

You remember Don Shula is a damn crybaby.

He was after that play, and he clearly was in 2007 when he was the original asterjerk, crying because the Pats might beat out his Dolphins precious 17-0 record. Unfortunately for Shula, his reason for wanting to put an asterisk next to the Pats name was because they had been fined a first round pick for cheating. The senile old fart must have forgotten that his team was fined a 1st rounder for a violation in 1970, one that led directly to their 17-0 season in 1972.

And that gives us the difference between our current HC and Don Shula. No way that Belichick would be so petty as to publicly criticize a great achievement by another HC. If anything Belichick would have congratulated Shula and his team for the accomplishment.

Another possible angle of a grudge Shula might have against BB: Bill and Jimmy Johnson are buddies. If Parcells did not bring BB into NE, Johnson might have brought BB into Miami (history might have been different, but let's not think about that.) Shula never forgave Jimmy for firing his son Mike as an assistant while in Dallas. Then there was the role Jimmy had waiting for Shula to go into forced retirement.

One day you realize the background of your Outlook email is green and in revulsion change it to Patriot dark blue.

Loves me some Fitzy

That friggin Cars for Kids commercial..............

When your draft binky is another team's first-rounder in next year's draft. :)
