The Peyton Manning envy is quite comical.

Manning is putting up huge numbers and gollygeegoshdarnit we can't have that. We want our team to do whatever it takes so OUR QB can put up the big numbers and break records too so we can pound our chests, wave our pom poms and brag about it to all the Manning supporters! Give us our own set of pro bowlers on offense for Brady now!!!

Forget the fact that Manning has a playoff W-L winning pct as a starter worse than Tim Tebow, a postseason NFL record for one and dones and losses that will most likely never be broken and has as many rings as Trent Dilfer. No we wanna see Brady be just like him so people start liking us!1!1!

I mean.. that IS what topics like this are really all about. No point denying it when it's true.

That was everybody s thought when Brady redid his deal. They we're going to get welker signed. There is no excuse for that. Last year's wideouts.Thompkins-raiders Boyce- washing cars.Dobson-who the f knows.

So that's what they do on the practice squad. He must have done a pretty fine job on BB's Toyota to get the black jersey this week....

They have 7 starters on the last year of their rookie deals or prove it deals

You forgot to answer which team signed the top free agent this offseason, i was looking forward to the answer.
Pats. Now ask me what team has a ton of money under the cap with offensive and defensive lines like a sieve. That's played a cupcake schedule so far?

Serious question. How much of that are you willing to spend, knowing that every dollar you spend reduces the likelihood of keeping Revis, McCourty, etc.?

That question is above both are pay grade. So to say all that money is earmarked for them is pure speculation. I hope they get both players back. But frankly I doubt both.I mean they wouldn't sign Branch and ended up leaving a championship on the field over a little money.
They still do business that way.Don't be at all surprised to see this be Brady's last year too.

Regarding the bold, I would be surprised to see Brady leave before his contract is fulfilled. You're making a rather large and irrational statement there.

Don't you know, when idiots like Patradomus have no facts, they resort to speculation and irrational statements. They resort to this and then convince themselves it is fact. Nothing different than the Jets fans that think Harvin makes them Superbowl Favorites.

How people can look at base salaries for a first ballot HOF quarterback such as TFB that are 7 and 8 million dollars per year, and come to the conclusion that he'll have to leave is beyond me.

That's not even taking into account the fact that Jimmy G isn't 1/10th of the player that Tom Brady still is in terms of pure football knowledge, breaking down defenses prior to the snap, and making the proper adjustments that are all major keys in our offense.

And they'll have over 40 million dollars in cap room to sign who they want and move on from who they want.

Looking at things without the rose colored homer glasses on (which isn't something that you normally have a problem doing--and that's not meaning to sound offensive), we can dispel the notion that Denver isn't in a fairly good place right now and into the immediate future, as it pertains to the salary cap.

That said, I don't believe that we should be beating this horse over and over again, as the OP is starting to do. They are 2 different organizations who do things a bit differently. Both are competitive and normal playoff contenders. N.England should be in a relatively good place as well. It is unfortunate that they continue to suffer so many key injuries.

My hope that they are lessening there efforts on this year to give it hell next year.
I remember reading somewhere that Brady's biggest money is next year. Bye bye big money hello Galloping chicken.
Its not as far fetched as it sounds the way this team operates. They rather get rid of a player a year too early than to late.
Tom Brady is the best athlete next to Bobby Orr in my lifetime.
Tom. Bill Bob K all understand business. And like Bill says You do Business as business is being done.

Listen, I admit I went into a state of panic for a few games seeing the performance of Tom Brady. When I considered it, Brady was a small part of the problem not the problem. Now, the Patriots are working toward correcting those issues and Brady is back to being Brady.

Brady stays as long as he's playing well. He's had 3 excellent games in a row. He's not going anywhere.

01 ~ Terry Bradshaw has 4 Rings.

02 ~ Brady having 3 Rings to Manning's ZERO (we received a Formal Apology for the Ref's blatantly giving the 2006 Championship Game to Manning) does not mean that Brady is vastly Manning's Superior.

03 ~ But he is. :D

Bradshaw and Montana having 4 rings is why I believe TB needs his 4th in order to claim GOAT.

I'm not sure where you read that, but next year is actually his LOWEST cap hit (13 million dollars) in the entire five year deal of his contract.

This current year (2014) was the highest cap hit at almost 15 million throughout the five year deal. It also includes salary bonuses that are at their highest as well.

The other players that you're comparing did not offer the team anything close to the value of a relatively cheap NFL QB in terms of contractual value, so I think you're comparing apples to oranges. Those are the kinds of players/contracts that Belichick gets rid of.

I'm not even suggesting its because of his play when he he has to deal with musical recivers every year and now musical offensive line.
Like Mankins they know they will be paying top money to a player on his downside eventually. That's when they will make a change that's been their pattern and there is no evidence to the contrary.

The last 3 years of his deal are insanely affordable for QBs who would rank between 16-24, and Brady certainly fits into that grouping. As a matter of fact, he's definitely still top 5-6 in the entire league, which has been the norm for a long time. He is extremely affordable and provides excellent value.

One of the reasons the 2 parties structured the last three years of his deal they way that it is was to avoid uncomfortable situations that you are suggesting. There is no bad value in his pact, and unless he became terrible, they weren't going to trade him.

Well ok if that's the case.I stand corrected. I knew it went up then down.. He,ll be here for one more year then as logic would dictate..
