Ayers, Branch rebuilding this defense on the fly is something i can't believe the injuries have hit this hard.
A 3-4 interesting few more players I would like to see brought in Max Bullough and a trade for Sio Moore our linebackers would be ridiculous.
To help plug the holes in run D, that drunk is exactly what the Patriots DL rotation needs. Allegedly, Kevin Faulk didn't mind a puff. He was one of my favorite Patriots.well this is what happens when you have no depth on the DL, you have to go out and grab some drunk off the street.
Alan_Branch(325lbs) is a baby-Ted_Washington (375lbs) for our run-D
Dunno about Ayers. 2 knee issues makes me think he cannot run.
Assuming health, what do we think of this potential line up guys?
Ninkovich/Ayers - Hightower - Collins - Jones/AyersSiliga - Wilfork - Branch
Revis - McCourty - Chung - BrownerIs that a workable 3-4 front with our players? I hope Belichick isn't finished with the additions (i.e. go get V-Jax and more talent if you can, we're in win now mode). Obviously this is dependent on the health of Siliga and Jones but to me, it looks like a workable unit.
I don't list Chris Jones as a starter. In any instance, Easley would be my first cab off the rank then Jones, who IMO, is a solid depth option.Chris Jones should be in there
I'm going to piss my pants. The five healthy right now are the most depth we've had at DT since Seymour, Wilfork, Warren and Jarvis Green.
