Miss me with that. Only because the Pats wanted him out and he sensed it.

Kelly has said it was about playing time. Only way he based it on that was over two preseason games where a guy coming back from an ACL injury and is 33 years old isn't going to see much time.

In fact him staying here on his restructured deal would have made him significantly more money than what he is making with the Cardinals. Go look at the Kelly thread I broke it all down.

It's not the end of the world if he misses only 2-3 games.. but we really could use him vs. Denver. That's how you stop Manning.

Won't be playing in the DEnver game...and maybe not against luck who can tear people apart. Wonder what the injury is..

I've seen SMY's report passed on, but I've not seen independent confirmation. Do you have that? If you do, please link it before SMY gets lynched.

Yes, on CBS Sports and NFL com and some other network

BS. He's seeing plenty of playing time in Arizona. The Pats drove Kelly out on purpose.

Kelly was in the right. The Patriots screwed up.

Just gotta be very thankful one of these weeks coming up is a bye week.

BB cant be happy this kind of news getting out.

He was in the right about what? Being mad that he wasn't playing a huge role in preseason games coming off an ACL injury? He agreed to the restructure, he could have told the Pats he didn't want to and called their hand to either release him or keep him on the deal he signed. He cut his nose off to spite his face and is making a lot less then he would have this year given the Patriots DL situation.

I'm not rehashing this with you. Kelly made the right move. The Patriots screwed up.

Good news, though. The Patriots just signed Alan Branch to try and fix the problem they needlessly caused over a few bucks!

They did? That seems like mere speculation to ensure blame can fall on the team.

So what else is new?! JUST ONCE, can we see this team Fully Healthy runnin on All Cylinders.

The only positive is that this is a probably the best time to lose him for a month. Not based on the opponents they face, but the fact between October 17 and November 15, the Pats have only two games. That means that based on the report, it could mean he only misses the Bears and Broncos games.

Yeah, this is 100% correct.

Are you kidding me?!? ************. Looks like another day of ZERO pressure on Manning.

He's such a lucky bastard too. No Robert Mathis for Colts game, no Aldon Smith for 49ers game.

Yeah, this is 100% correct.

No, it's not. The Patriots can make mistakes.

Trues story.

Fascinating to find the lengths that people will go to excuse teams and blame players, though, and it happens in all the main sports in the U.S..
