Bedard film review: Patriots vs Jets

How long will it take for Felger to say it is a QB driven league and teams can't win the Super Bowl without a QB (two of his favorite talking points)? I am sure he will answer his own question.

I bet it will be early in this upcoming segment. Although he's known for take judo and I wouldn't be surprised to see him spin it into "Ok, so if line play and WHAM BLOCKING (laughs) matters so much then if you knew your quarterback was in decline, why would you trade away mankins?!?"

Felger opens with "why are you paying qb's $20m if the parts around them matter?" Troll level: Felger

For Felger...

I love listening to Bedard break down the games, but if his whole segment today turns into Felger and Bedard fighting over whether Brady is declining and the merits of Amendola I am done today.

Start Bedard:

Amendola's surgery in the offseason explains his slow start. He's looked a little bit more like himself in the last couple of weeks.

He first thought comparing the Amendola catch and Welker non-catch was stupid, but looking at it again it was close.

Sorry lame point, but that is really the only nugget thus far in the first half hour of the show.

Felger brings up that Vollmer is getting benched for playing time incentives. Bedard doesn't think so, but could be something to monitor.

Solder played decently well
Vollmer played very well

Incentive clause in Vollmer's contract is something to monitor re: Cannon snaps

Talking about playing time incentives and how the Pats are screwing players they don't like. I am giving up hope that they will actually talk real football today with Bedard.

Thinks the Patriots are using too any incentives on front line players.

Fixed that for ya.

Thought this was Brady's best game of the year.

Good Bedard is late so Felger and Mazz can do victory laps that Bedard is wrong about the pressure problems earlier in the season affected Brady's play and that they were right that Brady just sucked. Their evidence to support their theory - "Just because".

You guys must take massive amounts of drugs or booze to get through that show. I applaud you in order to listen to bedard

Bedard trying to explain the obvious to Felger/Mazz: Because the OL was such garbage at the start of the season, Brady got sped up and put off his game. Now the he's had a couple of games of better protection, he's playing better.

Now arguing about whether Brady is playing better. Bedard's point is his game is better in large part because the pieces around him are better. Felger and Mazz is because he is old.

Bedard says he has seen little drop off in Brady this year because of age. Felger thinks he is insane.

You might as well as try and explain String Theory to them. It's quantum physics, and then some, as far as they are concerned.

Felger's central point is that a prime Brady had skills that would mitigate a lack of protection. Apparently SB42 never happened.

My guess is that Felger's not this stupid, and he's doing this for ratings/calls. I say that because you'd have to be a mouth breathing, drooling imbecile not to see the obvious differences.

He said Drew Brees is experiencing what Brady had early in the season. Their last few drives, he was pressured out of 8 of his final 11 drop backs and his final interception on Sunday was because his o-line didn't protect him.

Says that Brady has been 30.8% of the time this year.

Say Russell Wilson is the best at dealing with pressure because he was pressured more than any other QB last year.
