These are the Patriots catch ratios:

James Develin - 100% (4/4)
James White - 100% (3/3)
Michael Hoomanawanui - 100% (2/2)
Tim Wright - 90.9% (10/11)
Stevan Ridley - 80% (4/5)
Aaron Dobson - 75% (3/4)
Julian Edelman - 67.7% (44/65)
Shane Vereen - 67.6% (23/34)
Rob Gronkowski - 55.4% (31/56)
Brandon Bolden - 50% (2/4)
Brian Tyms - 50% (1/2)
Brandon LaFell - 48.7% (19/39)
Danny Amendola - 45.5% (5/11)

Brandon LaFell had 2 poor games to start the season and did not have catch on his first 9 targets this season. When I look at everyone else I see that Gronkowski is not exactly himself, he has 5 drops this season hopefully with confidence those lessen, and Edelman is on pace to duplicate his 2013 season. The thing that stands out to me is Tim Wright, we really need to get him more involved in this offense. Aaron Dobson also appears to be effective in his very limited opportunities.

Yeah all this talk of Gronk is back is just nonsense and these numbers are proof. Flip on his highlights from his first two seasons, he's a totally different player. He's been looking more comfortable in recent weeks and his play has been improving, but people are jumping the gun on him being 100%. We will likely never see that type of domination again. Luckily, he has incredible ball skills and he is a versatile athlete, I don't doubt that he will adjust to his new body and play very well.

He has 5 drops this season, which is a significant number for a player who is usually reliable. Most of them have occurred on passes over the middle when he seems to be skidish or concerned with contact. I think the biggest issue with the knee is not the knee it is the psychological impact on him.

Ya between the knee and the back he's definetly not quite as fast/explosive. He's definitely concerned with contact but who wouldn't be.

I would be interested on the stats for lafell/Gronkowski if you threw out the first 4 games of the season. I would expect they are much better. he has looked near dominant since the cinci game.

also, what this shows me is we need to get Tim Wright on the field more. 90% catch ratio when thrown to him and 2 td's

If you throw out just the first 2 games for LaFell he has been targeted 31 times resulting in 19 catches (61.2%) for 337 yards and 3 touchdowns, which projects to 61 catches for 1078 yards and 8 touchdowns over a 16 game season, so he has been very good.

Gronkowski has been targeted 30 times resulting in 18 catches for 262 yards and 1 touchdown over his past 3 games, so his catch ratio is 60% over that period and he projects for 96 catches for 1397 yards and 6 touchdowns over a 16 game season at that pace.

I could not agree more about Wright, look at it like this him and Amendola have both been targeted 11 times this season. Wright has 10 catches for 121 yards and 2 touchdowns with his 11 targets and Amendola has 5 catches for 42 yards and 1 touchdown with his 11 targets. Clearly, the 2 TE offense is more effective than the 3 WR offense for this team.

When I looked at the all 22 tape of the Bengals game Gronk had a couple of throws that he should have caught, but dropped. Balls that where right at his stomach or in the numbers. To me it didn't look like a physical problem. I think it was more in his head. He just have to get into that mindset of catching the ball and after he has secured it he can start to think about how to get past the defenders around him.

Now do these ratios only include passes guys had a chance to catch? Because that's what really matters. For example the ball thrown where Gronk is all by himself in the flat and Brady overthrew him. Gronk gets credited as a target on that play but he had no shot at it.
