Let's honour Manning on the TD record...

18-8

peyton has as many pick sixes as he has td's in superbowls. :D

And Brady lost twice to a mediocre Giants team in the SB (remember when he laughed when Burress said the Pats would only score 17 points? Plax was off by 3) and is 8-8 in his last 16 playoff starts.

Funny how his SB winning stopped, his playoff stats dropped and his W/L in the playoffs is .500 since the Pats lost that great D. It's almost like football is a team sport or something.
0 Super Bowl titles since caught with the skipping crow snoise CD on national tv....

lol, yeah it's not like CBS said it was a technical glitch on their end or anything. That's probably why the "skipping" crowd noise isn't on the radio broadcast of the game.

Odd huh, that it would be on the TV broadcast but not the radio?

Funny how that skipping noise never happened before or since other than in the Colts dome, or how radio broadcasts never turn down the mics to keep the crowd noise out of the broadcast.

I actually am thankful to Manning because the all time greats in sports really need a counter to help define them and that's his role with Brady. He's the greatest regular season QB of all time, he's just not the greatest.

Worst scumbag, inbred, outright liars in the United States...THAT is EVERY Dolt fan...Manning NEVER should have gone to the Super Bowl as a scummy cheating Clot...never....Polian BOUGHT this one and every country cornpone inbred Clot fan knows it...

Rotten scum...period. Even a near braindead sub-moron can see Faulk is FAR FAR past the first down line.Scum...pure lying cheating scum.

yup...my favorite manning pick 6. it was glorious. you have a chance to tie the game and you throw a crushing INT. of course espn ignores that because peyton destroys the raiders/texans of the world.
such a disgusting bias in the media.

They actually took a shot at Manning on NFL live. They were naming all the receivers that helped Manning get a TD and they added Tracy Porter in there and were like "Oops not him" :D

somethin' smells Coltish in here... was a Colturd here?

manning fanboys get so offended that they have to create troll accounts on a patriot board.
hahahaha

Brady won a ring without a dominant defense in 2001.

As soon as Manning broke the record I knew I had to come here to Patsfans.com and read you Pats fans spill your bile .......and you did not disappoint. You could set your watch by you guys and your Manning hate, it never gets old.

This thread is classic Pats fan lol.

Anyway, thanks for the laughs, I'm sure you'll keep em coming.

Congratulations to Peyton Manning.
500+ TD's (and counting) is amazing.
Saying stuff that diminishes what he has done kind of makes us sound like Jets fans dissing Brady.
Let's just give the guy the credit he deserves and let the rest take care of itself on the field in two weeks and maybe again in the postseason.

Of course his stats are better. In addition to stacked teams (his Broncos squad last year was immense) and rule changes literally designed to be in his particular favor- stats are what he does. They're the only thing he does. What he doesn't do, pretty much ever, is win big games. And not only does he come up small, but he's often involved in the nature of the actual loss. And I'm not just talking SBs here either. Some of his playoff exits were almost hilarious.

Brady/Montana/Manning are not close. Nuh uh. I'd forgive someone saying Brady, Montana, and then... tier 2 and if you want to plug Manning in fine. But I'm sure as heck not going to put him 3 even if someone wins the Elway concept with me there's no way I'd take him above Marino. (I also wouldn't take him above Unitas, Graham, or S. Young, or Baugh either.)

It's an opinion game so I get to feel that way. And that's why I say it's not "clear." I don't know what the makeup of this board is, but there's statistically no chance I'm on an island putting him further down than #3.

If you were looking at the list of the top ten most clutch QBs of all time, Manning doesn't even make the top ten. All of his el foldos in the playoffs seem to be showing up there. This is the makeup of most of the lists (NFLN, NFL Films and SI.com) the last time I checked;

Montana
Brady
Elway
Starr
Staubach
Unitas
Stabler
Graham
Young
Marino

After that they have Manning, Aikman, Bradshaw and Namath.

Elway doesn't belong anywhere near the top of that list given his epic folds in the Super Bowl.

I know my hatred for Manning is not exactly rational. What can I say? I just hate the guy. He's a corporate shill and that's how I view him. But, there is no denying his talent. The guy is an amazing QB. Truly extraordinary. And I hate his guts!
