Let's honour Manning on the TD record...

This will make his yearly playoff meltdown THAT much more enjoyable this season.

What worries me is that, given how far Seattle has fallen off, I don't see anyone in the NFC who is a lock to take Denver down. Clearly it isn't SF. The Eagles? I don't think so. Who's left over there? The Saints can't beat Detroit for God's sake. GB? Maybe...but I wouldn't be willing to bet on it. I don't think they have anything like the defense you'd need. All that is assuming Denver makes it to the SB of course. But if they do, I'm afraid Peyton might get his second ring. It seems like it's all on the Pats, Baltimore or San Diego to stop them.

Fantastic. That means all we have to do is take Denver down and we have a decent Super Bowl matchup. Oh, we also shouldn't forget about Baltimore, who appears to have sorted out their issues pretty quickly.

Peyton Manning greatest Regular Season QB of all time

My favorite is the saints pick. That literally sealed the game. F that commercial sell out five head.

yup...my favorite manning pick 6. it was glorious. you have a chance to tie the game and you throw a crushing INT. of course espn ignores that because peyton destroys the raiders/texans of the world.
such a disgusting bias in the media.

49ers were missing bowman, aldon smith, and patrick willis. they didn't have a chance tonight. one of their starting cb's was also out, another had a hamstring problem and had to leave the game. no dorsey as well so they double teamed justin smith. jimmie ward also out.

seattle will be fine. as for the afc, lets see what happens. baltimore looks pretty good. flacco's great in the playoffs. already has 9 playoff wins. while peyton has 11 i think.

Props to Peyton, that dude has had an amazing career. Brady is still better but it has been a great privelage to watch two all time greats go toe to toe in a decade long rivalry.

Well said. Agree!! It's such a pleasure to watch guys. Manning has had such a great career and what I respect about him is his reverence for the history of the game and those that came before him.

“Coach Belichick is the best coach that I’ve ever competed against and I think it’s safe to say he’ll go down as the greatest NFL coach of all time".
- Peyton Manning

This quote coming from a real student of the game and its history... speaks volumes.

He clearly respects the game, our team and our team's place in the game's history. Pats fans should return that respect IMO.

Congrats to Peyton on 509. Amazing accomplishment.

With our milk toast defense, no pass rush, and no offense line, Manning will reset the record from 511 to
516 by throwing 5 touchdown passes against us.

I think TB is the GOAT, but respect ot Peyton. He's had a great career, the last decade + has been defined by Brady vs Manning. When these guys are gone, we will both miss them

I'd have more respect for him if he hadn't scripted and practiced a corny ass keep away routine with two of his receivers for after he broke the record.

No question the playoff failures are part of the legacy, but also no question he stands with Montana and Brady as the 3 best quarterbacks of the last 40 years.

I got tied of listening to the verbal bubble bath last night, so I shut if off at half. They kept throwing out the stats like "most TD's against a coach - BB" Gee, BB is the longest tenured coach and most years they play each other twice, so I guess that might happen.

They forgot the 11-12 playoff record and the 1-2 Super Bowl record. TFB has a playoff record of 18-8 and a SB record of 3-2.
