Doesn't Marshall have Borderline Personality Disorder? This isn't a surprise. People with BPD are strange, volatile, and very untrustworthy.
I've come to respect Marshall. He spent time as an in-patient at McLean Mental Hospital in Belmont learning to overcome the more severe aspects of BPD and has put his life together, which with that condition ain't easy. He's also a very gutsy player -- plays hurt a lot and has performed well in Chicago.

I do as well. Who do i not respect? That turd Cutler

marshall is going to lose it...he already seems to be losing it with frustration. He has anger issues...this isn't going to help...

they are 0-3 at home...

Marshall doesn't have "anger issues," he has a legitimate personality disorder for which he undergoes treatment. After being diagnosed and starting treatment, he transitioned from malcontent to mature model citizen and locker room leader, which is what he was demonstrating today. Cutler, meanwhile, is by all accounts completely unlikable. Marshall calling him out says a lot.

Trestman inherited a team with a rising offense and a declining defense. That's a problem, because he's an offensive coach and isn't really suited to fixing that defense. That's solvable with a decent DC and good front office.

What's not solvable is that he also inherited Jay Cutler.

Why jones will have 2 strip sacks on that turd next week :)

My take, and my take only,is that not one other fan of one other player or team in the NFL gives 2 craps about any physical, mental or emotional hurdle any one of our players has had to overcome. I'm guessing that there are plenty of Patriots players and families who have had to endure unspeakable crap. I'm not feeling sorry for anyone on the other team regardless of their circumstances. I sincerely hope that their off football lives are fruitful and satisfying. I also hope that their football experience playing against the NE Patriots sucks.

is fuller out? seems like the bears are missing all of their corners..

The Bears will come out with a lot to prove. They are, going to try to sweep this distraction under the rug by coming out and playing their best football game. I expect them to play with a lot emotion and the Pats are going to have to match their intensity, especially early on. Hoping the coaches come up with a god game plan and has this team prepared.

Can't say enough what a dangerous threat Matt Forte is. Not to sound like Belichick but that is one talented trio of receivers. Jeffery, Marshall and Bennett is a handful and not many backs can catch the ball like Forte.

Notice I left out the offensive line and QB? Throw in the Bears awful defense and I think this team knows what to attack on both sides of the ball.

The Bears game should be almost a 100% flip of the Jets game. The Jets are strongest where the Patriots are weakest (OL/DL/Interior mid-range "offense v. depleted LBs). The Bears are weakest where the Patriots are weakest (OL/DL), and their strength (downfield/outside receivers) is the Patriots defensive strength. And then there's Cutler.

Shut down Forte and this game should be a Patriots blowout.

Agree, Revis on 1 receiver. Dennard/cb2 with safety help and then hope Collins can remember how to cover Tight Ends. Put everything else into the run,

it all comes down to our defense.. If they played like they did against the Jets it will be a long day. IMO Forte is better than Ivory and that means our offense is hardly on the field

I thought he got help for that. I assume he's taking some meds for it?

Brady should have a field day vs. the Bears D.

Defensively, we've underperformed at times this season so I'm not sure what to expect.

Given the Bears' offensive weapons, I could see this game coming down sort of like the one in Atlanta did last year. Quick distinctions: Forte is a bigger threat than anyone in Atlanta's backfield was and Bennett is pretty good, but not likely to be as uncoverable as Tony Gonzalez was in that game. I'm not at all inclined to see another track meet.

This will be a major "prove-it" game for Cutler. I would expect him to come out hot. If the defense can force a turnover before he connects on a long pass, then hopefully the Chicago applecart will tip over and it'll be all Pats from that point on. The Patriots front 7 is in line for a "prove it" game as well.

The Pats should be able to beat the Bears convincingly. The only NFC North team I really fear is Green Bay in Green Bay. Maybe the Lions if Johnson is close to 100% by the time they come to Foxboro, but they are very beatable too.
Agree but , they will come out and play like its their SB. This loss and all the infighting will only motivate them more and they have been good road team. Should be interesting. Wont be surprised if its close. Need to see more from our D before I expect any convincing wins personally.

In fighting and everyone pointing fingers at each other usually tears teams apart rather than pull them together. I wouldn't be surprised if the Bears totally lay an egg and this will be the next loss on a long term slide of losses.

The Bears look more like a team on the verge of disaster and a head coach being fired than what happened to the Pats after the Chiefs' game where they rallied around each other. You never head the Pats players pointing fingers at each other after that loss.

The Pats pass defense has been solid all year and despite having Forte, the Bears can't run the ball all that well.

so, who does revis cover? Marshall? Browner on bennet and Dennard on alshon jeffries?

You put Revis 1 on 1 with Marshall

You double Alshon since he is their deep threat

You try to limit Matt Forte as much as you can

And you hope Jay Cutler continues to be Jay Cutler and throw cringing picks

Brady should be able to rip through their D. We need better balance, we can't get doubled on TOP this game, I feel like a broken record but we have to run the ball and control the clock.
