I don't get what the Bills are doing with Orton. Orton will never win them a thing. There's no upside to it.

Maybe Manuel won't either but it's better if they at least give him that experience so they can find out that answer sooner than later. It's not like they're letting Manuel sit and learn behind Joe Montana, it's Kyle freaking Orton.....

They already found out the answer with Manuel. He sucks. The coaches are trying to win some games to get to keep their jobs another year.

I wonder if they bought into the Pats-Brady "demise" hype early and figured the veteran gave them a better chance pounce. Might not work out for them.

They wanted Manuel to sit and learn last season, but Kolb's situation prevented that. They knew the kid wasn't ready. Now, he's had some game experience, and he can, hopefully (for them), learn by observing for a while.

Maybe...but I'd think they could also put the reins on Manuel and just have him work more as a game manager and not rely on him on his own to win games. Worked for Brady.

I don't see what the Bills accomplish this year by playing Orton and getting to probably just 8 wins...

true, I forgot about what happened to Kolb and where Manuel was on that depth chart. But how much can you learn from a guy like Kyle Orton and not be better off just playing?
