Thoughts on Dominique Easley?

This draft class is going go take a long time to properly evaluate. It looks like we already have a starting caliber center in Stork. Like others have said, we probably won't know what we really have with Easley until 2015.

Jimmy G by himself can make the 2014 draft class an A+. We won't know for awhile.
Storks only problem so far seems to be durability. Zach Moore looks like a find. Unfortunately Easley looks like a bust, Jimmy will never get past Tom before his rookie contract expires. Thomas and Halapio were bunk. C. Fleming has a shot as well as Gaffney (our steal) in 2015. I think White is not on the 2015 roster.

I don't see any chance of this being an A+ draft. If you think Jimmy is going to take Tommy's job and lead us to multiple SB's you need to retire the bong. Not happening, kid. No way, no how.

Well obviously he hasn't been very good. Mostly invisible, and there has been very few moments where he has flashed what I would call prime talent.

He reminds me a bit of Marcell Dareus. Similar body type, similar elite burst off the ball, similar struggle for the first few years. At least Dareus is coming into his own now, but the jury will still be out on Easley.

Except that Dareus is 30 pounds bigger, and can stuff the run with size & power too.

Easley looks like a bust. Is it actually possible to overrreact more?

I think right off the bat you have to give him this year to a) get used to the NFL and b)recover from he knee injury. Evaluate him next year would be fair

not impressed so far. small, not explosive, gets manhandled by average guards.
the jury is still out.

Again I think he should not be labeled until the 2016 season because I think average DTs need three years to develop. This season is about recovery from an ACL tear last year and rookie mistakes.

I never really expected him to do much this year. I see him as a pick for the future, not for this year. I think that it's ridiculous to label him as a bust this year.

Compare him to Jamie Collins last year, it took about 14 games until he came unto his own...

Easley's injury held him back, and now he is working his way into game shape and the lineup....

Give him some time...

The diatribe of busted draft picks gets tiring...

The praise for Zach Moore is interesting as best as I can see, he has only played 27 snaps in 7 games.. not sure what anyone can determine from that small body of evidence..

Wish patriots the Patriots had Tommy Kelly. Easily is meh

Best to be patient with Dominique. I am encouraged that he is playing quite a few snaps.

I think he needs to add at least 10 lbs of muscle next offseason.

I wasn't expecting an all world player yet, but I did think we'd see a little bit more from him. With that said, I'm certainly not down or out on him.

One thing I will say, he seems to be getting swallowed up inside, but I noticed his best game (so far) was against Cincy when they moved him outside. Maybe that's where his future will be? I dunno . He does look small out their. Smaller then both Chris Jones and Vellano.
