Seattle Seahawks trade WR Percy Harvin to the Jets

Seattle's deal to acquire Harvin is the kind of trade that revs up the know-nothing mediots. That was an absolutely terrible deal from Seattle from the get-go. A lot of bonus money and draft picks flushed down the proverbial toilet. Now, a salary dump for a conditional pick. Wow!

22 catches for 133 yds and 0 TDs. 6 yds per catch. Not exactly lighting it up.

...with an infinitely better QB throwing him the ball in Seattle.

I'm not saying Wilson is the GOAT or anything. But he's lightyears better than Geno Smith.

weird move for seattle.
go from winning the SB to having to play for the dysfunctional jets!

Feels like he played way more than eight games for Seattle.

Was Idzik in seattle when it was made. ?If so I would love if Idzik stays around the jets for a while.

And they wasted $18m on him.

If they would have kept the #1 they gave up for them they could have had DeAndre Hopkins for 4-5 years on minimal money. The 3rd round pick was a top 100 pick in this years draft.

If this was Belichick it would be armageddon from the media and the chicken littles

He's been overrated since his second year in the league. He was never a true #1 anyway. He's a utility player.

At least now Revis has a number one receiver to cover on the Jets next time we play.

I will state this right here and right now:

No matter how much excitement this brings to the NYJ on the surface, in reality it will not end well for the JEST. Harvin is a nutbag with an ego of Manning proportions. Having him in the JEST stable of unstable players with inflated and fragile egos is like filling up helium baloons with hydrogen and using them to decorate around a bonfire.

If Harvin was pissed off about his former QB's, just wait until he gets to play with Geno & Vick.

It's fortunate that the JEST play out of doors, because if they were to try and stuff all of those personalities into a domed stadium, they simply wouldn't fit.

Add to this the clown-car coaching staff and front end office of the JEST and the New York mediots and reportards are going to be feasting like sharks on a whale carcass.

Get yer popcorn, boys. It's gonna be fun to watch. :)

Two teams unload him in his prime and the Jets think they can handle him? The only thing I can think of is they think he'll help free Decker. But... who is throwing them the ball? Watch as Geno passes fall a few feet away from him and he starts complaining... The Jets are done if they lose two more games, so clearly they're thinking about next year? Or the GM is thinking about signing a big name to buy himself time?

Headcase or not .... I'm just glad Harvin wasn't on the field for the Jets last night.

Congratulations to the Jets for winning the right to overpay Harvin.
