Gotta love a coach that fist pumps because the opposition took exception to a cheap-shot to their QB, drawing a flag.

Rex is a really good defensive coach and even a decent head coach, but his personality is !@#$ing terrible. It shows through the entire organization. They deserve each other. Maybe they will all have more success betting on dogfights at Vick's house.

When all is said and done:
Jets 1-6.... 0-1 in the division
Patriots 5-2.... 2-1 in the division

That is all that is important...

Rex is like a giant child

Just like Belichick (but in different ways) Rex has some maturing to do, but I think he could still end up being a good HC. I'd love to see him come be our DC next year.

And yeah the dislike button is like, right -----------------------------------------------------------------------v here.

with the first overall pick in the 2015 draft the New York Jets select...............

I was trying to be the drunkest person here, but clearly I failed, since some here are saying this was a good win, so others must be far far more drunk than me. It was nice to win, but drunk or sober, it wasn't a good win.

The D was so weak it was pathetic. How many times did we see Chris freaking Ivory and C J freaking 2 K run it up the gut f0r 8 or more yards after breaking three pathetic attempts at a tackle?

The Jets have a bad if not awful QB and a bad if not awful coaching staff that both have no idea how to win tough games. It was a two point win, which only happened since a bad coaching staff decided to put a two point play on Geno freaking Smith's shoulders when their O had been able to run at will, and left itself with no time and no time outs so they were stuck with trying to make a difficult field goal that got blocked.

I'd say 2 out of 3 NFL teams would have beat this team tonight. The fire that was lit under the team's ass after the KC game seems to now be nothing more than a match that someone's pissed on.

Sorry for your loss.

Well I guess we can look at it this way...pats blew out the nyj 45-7 in prime time in 2011....what happened in the playoffs that season? so I guess blowouts don't mean much...maybe?

You only get one W per game.

Except when Denver faces weak division foes like Oakland last year and KC the year before. Then they are blowouts.

This division opponent excuse has become tiresome. Good teams blow out poor opponents regardless of whether or not they are within the division - especially at home.

Wins don't require excuses, they're wins.

RayClay owning this thread.

One thing that shouldnt go unnoticed is our inability to cover TEs. It just seems that they are always open and now we not even have Mayo.

Can you imagine when we face something like Julius Thomas? Are we able to slow him down?

At first i thought that Browner would be charged of covering them, but it doesn't seem i was right. Collins hasn't been able to be up to expectations either and is not really blanketing TE like we hoped for after that incredible Colts gane last season(i read here that he's not 100%, so let's see if it gets better)

.........Jameis Winston.

Let the NYJ entertainment value continue.

The crazy thing about the Jets is when they come in as big under-dogs - often with a terrible record- they put up a big fight. When they come in with a good record and everyone give them a shot, they get blown out. It always seems to be the case.

Yes.

The Pats averaged 4.3 yards per run. They had success on the ground. They then went one dimensional. The pass-run ratio was 37-15.

Do YOU want to keep the Pats D (which just lost its QB Mayo) on the
field for 40 of the 60 minutes? Poor game planning.

They played down to the Jets tonight (just like they did with the Raiders). and both times they almost got burned.

A balanced attack keeps an opposing defense guessing - - and your own defense from having to spend 40 of the 60 minutes on the field.

The Jets have one of the better front sevens in the league. The Jets have one of the better run defenses in the league. The Jets have one of the worst secondaries in the league. The Pats have the GOAT at quarterback. The Pats have the best TE in the game (when healthy). The Pats put up nearly 30 points primarily through the air without the assistance of a turnover from their defense. And... given all this, your plan is to take the ball out of the GOAT's hands and put it in either a change of pace/receiving back's hands or Jonas Gray's hands? Yeah, I think I'll go with what the Pats did all the way on up until the last series.

Coming into work this am the NY Media on Sirius was flipping out. They are so bitter. Fans that were fans for over 30 years were leaving or had left their fan base. I got great joy from all of this that will push me through the 3 hours of sleep last night.
