"Why the Jets Will Beat The Patriots" - as per Wall St. Journal's local reporter

this is the jets superbowl.

the weather is really bad. we won't be able to pass the ball in heavy rain, just remember the cinci game last year. which means we'll have to run on a jets D that's 8th in the league defending the run.
Just saw the weather on channels 4&5. Heavy rain is over, just light occasional showers off and on during the game. You can toss that theory.

Weather will be wet and a little chilly, but not bad. Just wet enough to interfere with your mental game.

i keep thinking of the monsoon in Cincinnati game where the passing game was nonexistent.

thanks for the update!!:)

GOPATS!!!! LETS KICK THE **** OUT OF THE JETS!

I texted the article to my Jets fan BIL. Gotta give the guy hope... and then crush it. :)

Geno, for the first time this season, threw more TDs than INTs?!? That is proof he is improving? The fact he passed 43 times and only completed 23 of them for 190 yards doesn't count? Talk about grasping at straws at improvement of Geno. He had two games last year where he completed more TDs passes than INTs. Why didn't he improve from those games.

Jace Amaro the Jets' version of Gronk? Amaro has 24 catches for 212 yards and 1 TD. Gronk has 26 catches for 346 yards and 3 TDs. I bet if the two players switched uniforms and Amaro played for the Pats and Gronk played for the Jets, no one would notice.

Antonio Allen will take Gronk out of the game? Sorta like he took Julius Thomas out of the game on Sunday? Julius was held to a pedestrian two TDs on Sunday.

As for the Jets holding the Broncos to low yard totals, the writer does realize that the Chiefs held the Broncos to 325 yards and 24 points. It isn't like what the Jet did on Sunday is something that hasn't happened before this year. The Broncos' average yards per game is skewed because they had 568 yards against the Cardinals. It isn't like they were getting 397 yards every game. They have consistently been getting in the mid 300s every week and one week has skewed their average.

This had to be one of the worst articles I have ever read. It looks like a guy who knows nothing about spots coming up with fantasy points on why the Jets will win. The funny thing is there are legitimate reasons you could argue why they would win, but this writer did not hit on any of them.

The only way the Jets win this game is if their Defensive Line dominates the contest (which they are capable of). Outside of that, they're terrible.

What Rob said.
