The Betrayal that Fueled a Rivalry

That was a good read. Thanks for posting it.

What're you kidding me??

Everybody above the age of 5 knows that the Betrayal that fueled this "Rivalry" was that Scumbag Parcels's.

His Betrayal.

His...and his, alone.

Mad Bill was simply rejecting the altered Terms of Employment.

There was no betrayal on his part, thank you very much.

It's become crystal clear, in Retrospect, that the Championships that Bill I & Bill II won with the Giants back in the day owed far more to the Talents of Coach Belichick than to those of Coach Parcels.

Parcels ought to get down in'is knees every day and thank God & Mad Bill for those 2 Championships.

And then he ought to shut his bleeding Pie Hole.

Agreed, and if you couldn't tell from whose perspective (and twists of reality) the whole thing was written from by the use of words like "scuttled out of the building" about BP opponents .... Then this tag line at end of page 3 says it all:
REPRINTED From PARCELLS: A FOOTBALL LIFE, copywriter 2014 by Bill Parcells ...

Thanks for clearing that up for the uninformed among us OTG. I was starting to puke in my mouth as I read the fable being offered.

The Miami Dolphins have been more of a rival during the B/B era.

Wasn't there something about some one stealing a million dollars from a dying man?

At any rate it's all water under the bridge right,,, right.

Parcells is the Bill Clinton of football coaches. Big talent, dwarfed only by his ego and narcissism.

I was actually curious about that while reading this, since Parcells seems to have alluded to it in the article. Was BB forced to give back the mill? And would we ever know if that happened? Since (as far as I know) coaching contracts/salaries do not have to be public knowledge, unlike player salaries.
