Asking for your support

Going? Or Not?

  • Going! Jets Delenda Est!

  • Not Going. I live way outa town

  • Not Going. I'm working Friday to pay taxes to support you slugs

  • Not going. I'd rather spend my $ on some yuppie iPhone gadget than on football

  • Not going. I don't really watch the games & just post here reiterating Felger & Maz

  • Not Going. I prefer to watch on the widescreen TV in my parents' basement

  • Not going. It's raining, and my **** is really small

Much higher up than you guys! You know where Ernie Adams and BB's kid sit in the coordinator booth? I'm about 5 rows below that.

That's up there! I was up in that same spot last year for the Jets game. It poured that Thursday night too. It was not a fun evening. I hope it's better than that game last year. 13-10, with the Pats scoring all of their points early. We had to sit there in the pouring rain watching them hang onto this slim lead for the rest of the game.

I was there for that too. It was raining so hard my dad and I left. He's 66 so I blamed his age for us leaving but actually I just ****ed out.

4,463 tickets on Ticket Exchange as of 1:30 today. Wow. That's a lot of tickets. I don't get it. It's got the perfect combination of a bad team coming in as an expensive "Marquee Game" on a Thursday night during a torrential thunderstorm. What more could you ask for? :)

Yah. I'm checking my Homeowner Line of Credit balance to pay for my tix in section 110

PJ. Your beer is waiting -- but it's on the wrong side of the Atlantic. :(

And PWP's huge swinging manliness award too. What a monstrous badass that guy is! Going to a game in the rain and risking his walker getting rusty ...

I now understand how my Scots brethren feel towards the Brits. FREEDOM!!!!

Was seriously considering it, would have to skip 2 maybe 3 classes and a tad short on cash. Hoping to make it to one of these games this year though.

I'll be there, lubed up and LOUD. Section 107, 3rd row, behind the Pats' bench.

I was there for the Bengals game too. Plan on being even louder tomorrow!

Every time I go to a Jets@Pats game on a Thursday night at Gillette, with a halftime ceremony honoring a former player from the Belichick era getting into the Pats HOF, the Pats lose. There's no way I'll be there.

I am trying to relay in a nice way that I am extremely loud and boisterous when I'm in the stands

But always with élan.
Or Panache.

I forget... Which of the strippers you takin' this time?

Strippers? I can never remember which spelling is the fish or the...you know.

OK you homo sapiens, I hope to see you tomorrow night in the monsoon (of beers you will buy me).

Could be lightning delays http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClic...site=BOX&lat=42.063&lon=-71.2493#.VD9AlRYQPgE

May want to grab up some red seats so you can get inside and sip some wine.

Even though the last game was very loud by Gillette standards, the red seats were mostly empty by the 2nd half, and that was a nice weather mild night with an exciting performance by our guys.

Kinda scary because more people killed in the US by lightning than by meteors or ebola. My richard is starting to shrink.

my richard is starting to shrink

welp, you could always try baseball...

That's OK. Just swing by sec. 227, row 12 with the beers and sandwiches on your way upstairs. Don't skimp on the mustard.

So as usual the old man and I parked in that Fitness place parking lot on rt 1 that's 1.5 miles from the stadium. We walked to to the stadium pretty slowly because he gets winded from his meds. We got to the gate at 7:39 and I start walking in but then hear him calling my name. I turn around and he says, "guess what I forgot in the car." The ticket, of course. He told me he'd walk back and meet me in the stadium. I told him to wait there and started jogging back to the parking lot, ducking and weaving through the crowd that was walking against me, of course. I heard several hilarious jokes such as, "wrong way buddy." Got yelled at by a cop because I didn't notice him telling me to stop to let a car pull in a lot. Got to our car, grabbed the ticket, took off my sweat drenched sweatshirt and ran back to the stadium, this time more slowly because there were more people walking. Got back to the gate at 8:05 and the line was much longer but got in at 8:20 and were up on the 3rd level in time to see Vereen grab that TD. My poor dad felt so guilty he bought all my beers for me.

Anyway, that's why I missed out on all of those free drinks you guys were going to buy me. Thanks anyway.

Afterwards I learned that you can print out a lost/forgotten ticket at the stadium. Oh well, next time.

Finally, now I know. That explains why I had to give those beers and sandwiches away to four surprised but grateful strangers. Well, three were grateful -- the fourth complained about his beer being too warm, but he already was drunk from tailgating.

We haven't heard from PWP. I hope he and his wee Scottish friend, Mr Tadger, are OK.
