Fail to the Redskins...

Opps! - I'm not supposed to say the R-word these days.

Don't worry - Daniel Snyder is already shopping for a new stadium and if a city makes a good deal, then he will change the mascot name to something else.

This once proud team coached by George Allen and Joe Gibbs has just two winning seasons since 1999 - when Daniel Snyder bought it and changed coaches every two years - just like the equally inept Raiders. Snyder in the off season throws money at has-been vets or coaches with the fiscal restraint of the Beltway and manages to fail. Even when they found a QB - RG III - Shanahan puts his injured QB back in so he reinjures it in a playoff game. Now all the fans are heartbroken the 2nd coming of Sammy Baugh is over.

It seems like the 2nd worst owner in football is trying to keep up with the Jones - that Jones. And since he is younger, Washington fans will have to suffer with him for more years.

It all starts with ownership.

Questionable business decisions, poor executive hiring decisions (e.g., Mark Dominik, Vinny Cerrato, Joe Mendes), and - most importantly - not keeping out of the football side of operations; it's a recipe for the team you own to not perform well.

Given Snyder's history, would any NFL executive take a job with Snyder as his boss? Probably only if your level of competence was low enough that you couldn't get a job anywhere else.

I'm still trying to figure out why people say RGME is a good quarterback.
