So, in a somewhat grim monday, with the news about Mayo and Ridley being as bas as thought, I come with an ...interesting article.

Bilboard and Bleacher Report for whatever reason researched who is the favorite artist or band for each NFL Team's fanbase. Appearently, we are big fans of Akon.

Well, it makes sense I guess. After any defeat, I'm sure a lot of people would crank up "Lonely" or something
(who would wonder how classy those Buffalo Fans are, huh)

Never heard of her.

If only Mayo could perform in a bubble like Akon.

I guess I'm not hip enough to know who Akon is, but I'll give this "Lonely" a listen.

Also, perfect that Broncos fans are Maroon 5 fans.

EDIT - Just listened. Ehhhhh...

Hmm. I thought the Jets fans favorite singer would have been William Hung.

It pleases me to no end that the two Peyton Manning teams love Nickelback and Maroon 5.

I honestly think Nickelback sold their souls to Lucifer. I have honestly never met a Nickelback fan in real life in my 28 years on this Earth but they're all over the internet.

Some of these crack me up.

The Dallas Cowboys fans' favorite artist is Shakira?! I guess Travis Frederick's hips don't lie.

They're part of that group of "rock bands" that came out in the 2000s; Nickleback, Paramour, Finger Eleven, etc. Apparently, someone must like them, or at least became conditioned to like them through the power of radio.

this thread is a kon...a kon job

It's worse than that. It's a lie. Here is a sample of the Patriots' favorite music artists -- Richard Wagner and Black Sabbath.

Not accurate at all! Why would the Ravens fans like Wiz Kalifa? His song "Black and Yellow" is about the steelers, and why would the Ravens like an artist who wrote the anthem for the steelers? I am a Patriots fan and a fan of Akon, but most Patriots fans are concentrated in the Northeast, and most people older than 30 wouldn't even know who Akon is.

They did their research by looking up facebook: "To find out what each fan base was bumping, Billboard hit up Facebook's data crunchers, who looked at the music pages liked by fans of each NFL team, and then identified those liked by a higher proportion of each fan base when compared with all football fans as a whole."

So they only looked at people with facebook pages who self-identified as a fan of a NFL team and a certain artist. How is that representative of the general demographic of each fan base? I am pretty sure old people don't use facebook.

By the way, the young fans of Buffalo Bills like the Beatles? Great taste in music but terrible team to root for.

I have no idea who or what Akon is...if its rap, I stopped listening to rap around the time when Bledsoe was drafted...

"The E R I C K is my name I spell thing to the clientele yo I rock well..."

I can just see Brady singing "Smack That" to Gisele.

I still can't get over the fact that a good looking person with moderate voice and the ability to dance can be given a handful of lyrics by a songwriter, told how to sing it and how to move on stage, and become something that is called an "artist."

I was thinking the tread was about painters, sculptors, etc.
