Buffalo Bills WR Mike Williams wants to be traded

I mean cmon it can't get much worse.. We currently have " Mr.I do absolutely nothing Danny Amendola.. Btw rite there with ya ne pride.

Amendola for Williams would be stupid. The Pats would be getting a similarly useless player, and be on the hook for $5.2M in 2015.

It's like people around here can't grasp the fact that Amendola is Edelman's backup, kinda like how Edelman was Amendola's backup. Did anyone ***** about Edelman back in the day? No. Granted Edelman was on a rookie contract but anyone saying they saw Edelman's rise coming is a liar.

How is he Edelman's backup if they are on the field together all the time? Not even remotely comparable ill take 09 edelman over 14 dola everyday especially on that contract.

The myth that Amendola is Edelman's backup is just that. Right now, he's just WR3 on the depth chart, for a team running a lot of 2 TE sets.

Edelman - 65 snaps out of 74
Amendola - 24 snaps out of 74

If they trade Amendola, I hope its for help at LB or OL..the Pats do not need WRs.

Our WRs next year are currently Edelman, Lafell Dobson (Tyms?)

I assume Amendola's cut and we can probably retain Tyms but IDK what his contract situation is.

So we will be needing 1 more. I don't want Williams here. Cost too much and not worth it

Also Boyce is on the PS but I don't think he is the answer either..

I would look for LB, DE and RB at the trade dead line, in this order.

He's not even really on the block. He (Williams) has an overinflated view of himself and thinks another team will give the Bills compensation worthy of a No. 1 receiver. Their GM is just doing it to show Williams what a complete idiot he is.

"I said, 'We like Mike Williams. We expect him back and we expect big things from him,'" Whaley said. "But like anybody, if he gets us compensation worthy of a No. 1 wide receiver -- which he claimed he is -- then we would entertain it.

Edelman - 65 snaps out of 74

And Amendola played only in 3WR sets.

Like some in the media I see some bashing Amendola again today. I watching the game yesterday I noticed that he had run his route on several plays and was open, clearing out underneath for other receivers that TFB went to.
In Cincy game there was a play as shown by Ben Volin where Danny was wide open in the end zone but TFB went to another receiver and missed him. This gives me reason to believe that Danny will be factor going forward. Remember the first 2 week people were saying what a waste LaFell was.

Actually I like the fact that some teams may fall asleep on Amendola.

Agree. LB is the highest priority for me. Much easier to find a RB on the street than a linebacker. Same with a good DE, harder to find on the street than RB.

Another one of Mark Dominik's disastrous deals.

The guy is a pain in the ass, and a constant problem. He had numerous issues at Syracuse and ended up quitting the team. Got drafted by one of the worst NFL GM's in recent memory and had a good rookie year and up and down career in Tampa, which earned him a 40 million dollar contract - only to reward the Bucs with a couple of arrests, missed meetings, and getting himself stabbed by his brother.

He is a head case that I want no where near the Patriots.

I think I remember that play, they had the entire line and Brady move to the right so maybe Brady didn't look that way or perhaps too risky? Either way Amendola was open for the TD.

Liked your post, but I think there were a number of people on this board who saw Edelman as being capable of matching Welker's production. Long before we lost Welker I had been telling my friends I thought Edelman was "the same player".

Wish we had this same depth at LB.

No thanks, no need for a poor man's LaFell when he makes $5M next year and we have LaFell already anyway.
