With the wind and rainy weather, we're really going to feel the impact of Ridley's absence.

We ran for 50 yards today on 27 carries (22 carries for 37 yards by RBs).

As long as we don't have negative plays, we can do nearly the same against the Jets. It just keeps them Jets honest and the OL's blood flowing. We can pass in the wind and rain.

We have the best under the elements QB in history that's not going to be a factor

Division games esp vs jets are mostly tight. Jets shut down the run so not sure about ridley's impact. They will miss mayo especially because of jets running game with ivory.

Jets lost Milliner and Winters.

Ivory is overrated. In the last five games, he has rushed over 44 yards once (ironically, he has rushed for 44 yards three games this season). He ran 8 times today for 7 yards. His only really good game was vs a really bad Raiders run defense.

If this is a sales pitch to get rid of your extra tickets, you are doing a very poor job!

By the way, any takers yet?

Losing Mayo really hurts, but these guys made things work without him already. Hightower will have to take over in his place, on the field and in the locker room. Collins might be the make or break player down the middle now.

Excuse my apprehension, but I think we need to explore some depth options too.

As you said, it is a chance for Hightower to continue his progress when healthy.

Obviously BB is going to have to activate a new LB, pending Mayo's MRI/tests on his knee. They had to do this last season, and made it work. We knew coming in that the Patriots were very thin at LB.

Yeah, I remember actually suggesting the idea of a ticket trading sub forum, for face value tickets--like on other sites.

I guess I drastically overestimated the need for tickets around here.

no...you drastically overestimated the fans here that actually attend games.

we are infested with gloomy Gus pessimists and outright lunatics who only come here to push their agendas.

ehhh.....

Not everyone wants to shell out the cash when they can get a better experience at home. Hockey and Baseball are better live. Basketball and football..... not so much.

The question is will Rex get fired.

Obviously they are not coming into NE with the worst QB in football and winning, so is 1-6 enough to fire Ryan?

A ton of us aren't local either.

They lead the league in sacks last I read so protection is the key to winning this game, imo, given our struggles on the albeit improving OL. Their secondary is rough but their front seven is legit.

Division rivalry games always transcend the usual stuff because there is so much familiarity. Dating myself but I remember back in the late 80s and early 90s the Pats were for **** but we'd always have a good showing against the Bills during their heyday. I don't count any division matchup as a win - ever.

The Jets defense is really starting to wear down. They haven't looked good against the run the last couple weeks. They aren't getting a lot of rest playing again on Thursday. New England would have to come out real flat to not win. Tough game, but not as bad as it first appeared when looking at the schedule at the beginning of the season.

Cannot discount that this is a divisional game, and somehow Rex will have his team motivated and prepared for this game...

But deep in my heart I do believe that this will be a one sided win.. I wonder if on gangreen there is continual discussion about how Rex does not know how to draft?? While WR's seem to be our bane, the most important position on the field, QB is theirs...
