Tyms!!!

The key at WR is consistency. If he can contribute like that every week, he will be very valuable..

let's see how he does on Thursday..

Agree.

I really like the WRs played today. NO AMENDOLA! Yeah!

We got tall WRs (save for reliable Edelman): Tyms, LaFell, and Dobson.
We got tall TEs: Gronk, Wright.

With Edelman as the safety net.

Thompkins over Amendola came down to $$$ plain and simple. If they were on equal contracts Amendola would be in Oakland not KT.

Amendola has a less than zero chance of being a patriot next season IMO

Tyms stood out in camp, was very productive on 2nd teams in the preseason and is an active on the roster going forward. I wouldn't want to be Danny Amendola this week.
Tyms was a huge underdog in a camp stacked with possession receivers.

It was a huge challenge for him to make the team, but he played so good in pre-season it was impossible to cut him.

He brings a different element than the other WR's, so he should see a lot of opportunities here.

Tyms "IS" going to be a very good WR. There I said it. I'm buying in, 100%. This kid is going to kick ass. I never say thing like this, but I might have to break my rule about buying another jersey. :D

I think they are keeping Amendola as Edelman insurance. If Edelman goes down number 80 gets the catches. Amendola is a pretty good receiver, just Edelman got so much better.

I never been so happy to be wrong hope he keeps getting better and better its only one game but Brandon LaFell and Tyms look like the guys us fans have been hoping for to open up the middle of the field for Gronk and Edelman...trying not to get to happy cause its the bills who the pats just own but I really like the way the offense is starting to look

I just don't get people's obsession with this guy? Why because he had some catches going up against JAGS and guys out of the NFL now?

In Tyms case that is incorrect. He's a JAG that made some catches against other JAGS in preseason. If Dobson and Thompkins can't get on the field there is no way in hell Tyms should see the field. Those two guys proved they got it last year. Tyms has proved nothing other than he can make some catches in meaningless games against guys that are at best backups

Because Dobson and Thompkins can't even get on the field because of McDaniels and Belichick's terrible game plans why the hell should Tyms? Those guys proved they got the offense.

Please come eat your crow.

Yeah instead of celebrating and being happy that Tyms caught the catch let's make sure to get in our internet 'i told you so' posts.

Please come eat your crow.

I'll admit I was wrong when I see some consistency. Remember Dobson's first catch from Brady was a 39-yard TD and he also had a 80 yard TD beating double coverage and look where he is now.

Happy to admit I am wrong but I just want to see a little more.

Is he on a 2 year deal or 1?

According to Miguel's page 1 year deal. Although I remember reading somewhere that he is a RFA not a UFA after this year, not sure if that is true.

When's the last time you saw a wide out go up and win a battle for the ball deep like Joquin Boldin?
Best catch I seen deep on this team what seems in years.

Unless Amendola does something crazy (100yd game), he is gone, next year. No doubt.
The only thing that could save Amendola at this point is a 15 catch, 200 yard, 3 touchdown game in the Super Bowl. Which is unlikely, I expect as Wright, LaFell, Dobson, and Tyms continue to develop in the offense he will be lucky to be active on game day.

In Danny’s defense, I think there is only room for 1 Edelman/Welker/Amendola in the Patriots offense, I mean what was Edelman when Welker was here.

I just don't get how he can't even come close to being productive.
Here is the thing, Amendola entered the NFL as a UDFA for a reason, and he is not that talented physically, he has marginal size, speed, and athleticism. He made the most of his opportunity, but knowing how small the margin is between being an NFL player and not an injury like the groin tear even if it diminished his speed and agility 5% that could be the difference between him having a career or not.

I personally, think that he was a poor signing as everyone on this board knows, but I do hope he can reassemble some type of career someplace else next season, because he does seem like a legit human being.

You can say the exact same things about Welker.
