Rex could not function or fit into in this organization, not sure if he could function in any system unless he was the head coach... he has turned into a media whore.
He fit in Baltimore and succeeded more than virtually every other defensive coordinator in the league and he was just as brash and talkative there. The only difference was he only had one media availability a week.
With that said, he can stay as far away from this organization as possible.
Oh you just wait. Another pats loss this season and some people here will want to see BB replaced !
Rex Ryan (Just for $hits and giggles)
Just for $hits and giggles, and excluding any interpersonal issues between BB and Rex Ryan…. – if the latter were to lose his head coaching jobs with the Jets, would you like to see him as our defensive coordinator?
I would, lets be honest he is going to get canned in maybe a week or two from now when the team is 1-6 or 1-7.
I wonder if he'll cry? i haven't seen him cry in a whileI actually think he could get canned a lot sooner than that. My bet is after this coming Thursday.
The Jets are pretty much going to lose this afternoon by a sizable margin, and if we embarrass them on national TV on Thursday night (in following the peculiar trait of NFL Thursday games of late) I think that will be the last straw.
I think BB recognizes Rex's abilities as a DC, however there is a fundawmental core difference between the 2's basic defensive philosophy, which would make Rex an impossibility to come here.Rob Ryan coached for Belichick. So I don't know why Rex couldn't. I don't think it will happen because Rex likes to run a much different scheme and is looking for another head coaching job which might be tougher coaching under the shadow of Belichick.
