Brady listed as questionable (ankle injury)

I have it narrowed down to either the left ankle or the right ankle.
A hardy har har har to you and PJ, but I was wondering whether it's the ankle that takes most of his weight when he throws down field. We all know that it can't effect his "mobility" because, well, there ain't a lot of that.

My guess is that Brady has about a 90% chance of being under center on Sunday.

An aside while gleaning the newspapers this morning a scribe in Az. has Brady going to the Cardinals, for some unnamed compensation... gotta sell papers.

So, I could have seen the Cards making a phone call about Brady had the Pats crapped the bed against Cinncinnati. They give up a Hershel Walker pack of picks and go into WIN NOW mode, not having to deal with Carson Palmer and his odd shoulder issue. Patriots start over with Gametime Garrapolo and start to compete again next year or the one after.

However, Brady looked awesome Sunday night and I imagine a phone call wouldn't be entertained until the off season anyway. This article was the most speculative of any article I can remember reading in recent memory (Florio nonwithstanding).

It's a good question. As usual I don't have a good answer.

well, then let's hope that it is indeed "the middle one" because he neither plants nor steps into his throws on that ankle; that's why God gave us three ankles, after all!

I love how the media is making such a big deal over this...lets take it easy

Wait...YOU have a middle ankle too?

And here I thought I was the only one!

yeah, but theirs are natural...you got yours drinking Iron City beer and swimming in the Alagony river...

Isn't this the kind of thing Brady usually gets in the postseason?

I'm thinking mainly of his first AFCC and Super Bowl, but also when he had a banged up foot or ankle of some sort and nonetheless used a playoff bye week to visit his then girlfriend Giselle in NYC, a city where one walks around a lot.

That is the one and only time I know of him putting his personal life ahead of the team in a way I find questionable -- very understandable, but questionable even so

Ha!

As ashamed as I am, it would be very difficult to argue with your statement.

Hopefully, he'll reply.

Miguel, my understanding is a player (one, I think) can be designated as a June cut. If so, Brady would have $9M cap hit in both 2015 and 2016. My question is, can a player traded also be designated like a June cut? Also, do I have designating in general correct?

I'm not Miguel, but I can answer these.

(1) It's two players, not one, and yes, it can be for a traded player.
(2) The one caveat to doing this is that when a player is traded/waived before June 1, but it is processed as a post-June 1 cut, the team must still carry the entire salary cap hit through June 1. In other words, using the June 1 method does not alleviate salary cap problems during the free agency/pre-draft period.

It's only rarely done; I remember the Cowboys did it with Miles Austin last year, but that's the only significant example I can think of.

Who the hell is Marcus Easley?

3rd string WR in Buffalo. Who, since I made the post, has been ruled out of the game due to injury, so he is really unlikely to make a miracle catch now.

Yeah. I've been going to Group for years to deal with it. I'm sure you've heard of the Three Step Program.

@Aßßynormal It is best to tag me like @Miguel so that I can get an alert.I will update the blog so that it mentions the June 1 designation. See attached screenshot.

The June 1 designation does not apply to traded players - quoting the CBA - "each Club may designate up to two Player Contracts that, if terminated on or prior to June 1". My emphasis added.

Edited to tag @Aßßynormal
