Rex Ryan (Just for $hits and giggles)

Just for $hits and giggles, and excluding any interpersonal issues between BB and Rex Ryan…. – if the latter were to lose his head coaching jobs with the Jets, would you like to see him as our defensive coordinator?

He's an excellent coordinator but his scheme and Belichick's scheme are almost night and day from one another. I would take him, but it's not going to happen.

Oh you just wait. Another pats loss this season and some people here will want to see BB replaced ! :)

Rex Ryan can go suck frozen toes in the CFL, as close to the Arctic Circle as possible.

not DC, but maybe DL coach or something. Would never happen though, too much bad blood.

No

No. Incompatible coaching personalities and defensive philosophies.

Nah, I get enough giggles from Bill talking to the media...I don't need Wrecks here for laughs......

Yes - his defense can help the offense game plan also since his techniques are used by other def coordinators to stop us when they do

Why?

I know its popular to dog on Mcd and Patricia but we got the best HC in the league coaching is not an issue on this team. BB surounds himself with smart football coaches that he feels are capable of carrying out his plans. Why everyone feels the need to question his process and assume Coach X should be brought in is beyond me. He has a pretty good system of keeping fresh young minds around and they all seem to climb ranks on this team and others yet people always clamour for other teams retreads.

When one of the coordinators moves on it will be interesting to see what the next move is but until then why ask for someone elses trash.

Rob Ryan coached for Belichick. So I don't know why Rex couldn't. I don't think it will happen because Rex likes to run a much different scheme and is looking for another head coaching job which might be tougher coaching under the shadow of Belichick.

I don't think Rex is going to get another head coaching job, at least not right off the bat. He'll have to go back to being a DC for at least awhile. Frankly, I think anyone who did hired him as a head coach ought to be declared mentally incompetent. He just doesn't have any of the qualities a really good HC requires. He has no discipline, and consequently, his teams are a hot mess discipline wise. He can't make up his mind, he doesn't have attention to detail, he virtually ignores one side of the ball. All those things seem to be part of his core personality. I don't seem him changing.

Rex Ryan to SF, with a strong OC hired by the muckety-mucks

Harbaugh to Michigan

Jim Schwartz to the Jets

Profit

I don't think he will either, but he will have an easier time getting a head coaching job going somewhere else and turning a team's defense into a top defense than doing it here.

Partricia just runs BB's defense. He's not going to hire somebody else to take over and install and a new one. I don't think there's that much bad blood tbh. I think he would take him aboard if he thought he could help.
