Only one clear answer, our pass rush is still awful, saw marked turn around in almost all other facets except that. Good win overall not perfect but moving in the right direction. I will say the Bengals tackles our huge those 2 are legit!

Didn't the Patriots record the first sack of the entire season allowed by the Bengals? Yes, they could have gotten some more pressure, but it seems like the Bengals have a half decent O-line. Overall, good first step in hopefully stringing together a few more games like this one.

I got a lot of crap from "fellow Patriot fans" on here from saying we'd murder the Bengals after we got blown out by the Chiefs. Dunno where them same people are hiding at now, but I'd just like give them a great big **** you if they see this message. You know who you are.

Saturday I was at Orlando airport waiting for our post-disney flight home. I was wearing a Pats t-shirt. The TSA guys made fun of me (with the KC game still fresh in everyone's mind), the airport staff chuckled at me as I walked through bag check, and all I could do was take it. But today there's a feeling of redemption. I gave the team and coach and especially the owner some crap (on a message board folks), but hey, they played a ballsy game last night. They deserve a ton of credit. It makes Monday-Friday sitting at my desk much better. Hopefully they keep it going vs Buffalo...

I want to hear more from the "I told you so" crowd who were doing victory laps last week telling us how they have been telling us for years of all the horrible mistakes Belichick has been making in personnel. Many of them almost broke their arm patting themselves on the back telling us how they told us that refusing to re-sign Welker was a huge mistake (yes, re-writing history) and how they knew the season was doomed when the Pats traded away Mankins.

I find those people the worst kind of fans because they secretly root against the Pats so that they can be right. Being right about how they are a better GM in their minds than Belichick is far more important than a Super Bowl.

You should go back and read some of your own posts. You were the one that started that embarrassing Blame Belichick thread.

Yeah, and Belichick was clearly to blame. Blaming Belichick for unprepared teams and decisions that were 4 weeks into looking questionable isn't in the same hemisphere as wanting to start JAG, bench Brady, trade Brady., and going on and on and on and on and on about how much Brady has declined.

The coaching staff DESERVED it yet there was 50 threads calling for Brady to be put down like Ole' Yeller.

Its funny how some people act as if the Win last night was some sort of personal victory over the "chicken littles" for them.

********. People had reasonable cause to be worried about the team, and to express their disgust with the way they played after Monday. Not to mention the ugly W against Oakland, and the L to Miami in week 1. There was a lot of reason to DISCUSS the state of the team. That's what discussion forums are meant for after all.

Your post is rational, threads like "BLAME BELICHICK" were childish tantrums. I felt this board turned into JI for a solid week.

Massive difference between discussing legitimate issues and going on like we are going to end up with a .500 record at best, and presuming it will only get worse in years to come.

This was a team we were all excited about press season. One loss doesn't make us Jaguars and one win doesn't make us Miami 1972.

Let's just continue developing and remain sensible. I feel we with rookies improving, and injured guys getting into full swing, we will be stronger in week 17 than we are now

This is funny.

Blaming Belichick for four weeks of poor execution, playing Revis in zone, having a swiss cheese offensive line, and totally backwards game plans is unacceptable, but 50 threads and 3,000 posts calling for Brady to be put down so we can move on is rationale?

Those things are apples and CINDER BLOCKS.

Vote. What will our favorite Negative Nancy's have to say after tonight's crushing result in Cincy?

Or come up with a NE-downer-quip of your own, somethin' like...

Rush the passer?! Who's gonna block the damn f'n rusher is more like it!!! :D

I was extremely negative before last night's game but am very glad to admit I was wrong.

I don't know why people assume that we will keep complaining even if they win and perform well. We complained because they were performing poorly. If they play like they did last night we have no reason to complain.

I can't speak for anyone else, but all I want is for them to succeed. No amount of bashing "chicken littles" will get me down from the high of last night's victory.

So quick to throw our GOAT coach under the bus..........ye of little faith

The difference between you and I, troll, is that I wasn't advocating for Belichick to get shipped off to the Oakland Raiders so Patricia could take over as head coach. You were literally trying to get Tom Brady off this football team and attacking his legacy and character.

Noticed Revis was playing man to man shut down this week BTW.

But Rob, it doesn't invalidate their "right" to be "right" first rather than be a Patsfan first.

It does make them insufferable, know-it-all, lousy prick fans but hey, no one is perfect.

well, i will refrain from name calling......but it suffices to say that i agree with the previous posters about your awful blame belichick thread

I do not think there is anything wrong with looking at the first four games and voicing concern over the state of the offense and defense.

Yesterday, the Patriots came out and played great, lets hope it continues.

Rationale people can have legit concerns.

What exactly does that have to do with your posting?

I didn't say a single thing about Belichick I'd want to take back today. He was using Revis incorrectly, he was going to places like Arrowhead with backwards game plans, we spent the entire first half of Monday Night football in the shotgun and we had a 4 week long disaster for HoF QB protection.

The history revisionists can jump on it all they want now to cover up the fact that they were WRONG, but there's not a single post about Belichick you can drag up now that I would feel ridiculous over. Not a single one. They were off season week 1 ~4 coaching criticisms.

Meanwhile, the troll infiltrators were on here all week long trying to bury Tom Brady's past, present and future, his entire damn legacy, in favor of an absolute no name back up rookie quarterback barely ready to sit in Tom Brady's stool.

Good try though!

I think the critisism was warranted for the most part. But some of the posters just don't know when to ease off. Did you have no hope things would get better? Does anyone remember the San Diego game where they slaughtered the Pats while Wade Phillips walks off the field with the smart ass "now that was an ass kicking." Comment? This team has responded time and time again so there was no way I was counting them out.

I was upset with the way the coaches were doing things and I made it known in a couple of threads. I didn't grab my pitchfork and torch and make 500 replies this week to anyone that would listen that- this team sucks, Brady is done, McDaniels must go,oline is horrible etc. It was easy to 2nd guess the Mankins trade after the line play but that has now disappeared after Wright and the olines performance. At least for this week anyway. I don't think you could find anyone that thought the zone was working and some of the personal groupings that were out there. I think fans have been screaming for press coverage and they delivered with results last night. The lack of running the ball with your cow bell etc. there were a lot of things going on to be uneasy about.

Anyway I just think some posters went right off a cliff instead of taking a step back. The KC game Is history. The time for reactionary threads were Monday and Tuesday. Not Saturday night before they played perhaps the biggest game of their season. I wasn't sure if they were gonna win but I did have faith that they would compete much harder and they did and then some. I do think there are still some issues to attend to but last night was a step in the right direction.

No the coaching staff didn't "deserve" the level of criticism as evidenced by last nights performance. Its clear you were being just as irrational as anyone calling to bench Brady.
