We basically have to hope that Dobson makes the second year leap and becomes that receiver. If not, we're looking at defenses flooding the field between the numbers again. I'm as happy about the win as anyone, but there are still issues that need to be addressed. Hopefully we can catch a break this year...

I'm impressed if any non-Pats or Bengals fans stuck with this game last night. The second quarter was brutally slow
Sure you can.. You complain a tremendous amount since you are one of the many Chicken Littles on this board..The game was already over by the 4th Qtr and the Pats didn't want to be accused of running up the score. So they weren't quite as aggressive as they could have been. I blame McDaniels for this.
gotta admit, when Collins leveled that punt returner after he made the fair catch signal i cheered a little.
sometimes you need to just lay some wood on someone.
Yeah, the next 2 are divisional games within a 10 day period, and both will be challenges in my opinion.
The Bills will be pumped up, especially at home--then we have the Jets with their backs against the wall on a shortened week.
Why is this in the Patriots Bengals Thread?FTR, the Lions, to the surprise of nobody, cut their kicker today.
Give credit to the Bengals for a great design or blame Mayo for getting in the way, but that's not on Ryan.
Did anybody catch Troy Brown's comment on the post-game show that supposedly the Bengals wanted heated benches...In a 50 degree game???? Seriously are they that soft???
Umm.. Yeah.. Except it wasn't really a TD as Green never got both feet in bounds while he had control of the ball. If you look at the replay, Green's left foot never touches in bounds. And neither does Green's right knee. It should have been called back..

Revis was a major bright spot. Last night was what we were expecting the night of the free agency frenzy.
I basically got what I wanted in the defensive identity really shining. Revis was in 2010 form last night. He got robbed an INT, he was targetted 6 times for only 3 completions and 60 something yards, but a big chunk of those yards were on the play he got the strip fumble, so they were worthless.
Revis Island is back.
He looked so much more engaged last night with coaching putting him in his position to succeed.
He was shut down, lights out for prime time.
"Cincinnati is a tough team to match up against," Belichick said. "We talked about it at the beginning of the week about how to best do it, especially with their no-huddle and their ability to create big plays with all those receivers. Obviously [Jermaine] Gresham and [Giovani] Bernard and [Mohamed] Sanu and right on down the line. Again, just in the end we felt like the game plan of the matchup with . . . I mean it was all matched up so just the combination of putting the guys on the matchups that we felt we would be most competitive on -- that’s really what it came down to.
"It was a multiple decision...
