And so begins the Michael Vick era. Mothers, hide your dogs!

If the Jets win tomorrow and the Pats lose and we're both tied at 2-3 after 5 weeks of football (with all 3 of our losses in conference, all 3 of theres out of conference) I am going to puke.

ESPN and the Commissioner made an attempt this morning to just award games to the Jets, but had to reverse it later in the day due to popular uprising.

This is what Stephen A "piece of" S%%t will look like tomorrow in FIRST TAKE . SOB jinxes the Pats every week by saying they will win the game and the SB.

Question:Stephen what are your thoughts on the PATS victory last night?
Stephen:

Question: How do you feel now that your Jinx did not work last night?

Question: Will the Jets win this years SB?

Pats win big. Green Beans lose bigger. Life is good. Good night. :)

Jets schedule up to the bye week:

Denver
@ NE
Buffalo
@ K.C.
Pittsburgh

There is at least the potential for the Jets to be 1-9 as they head into their bye. While that would offer a high mark on the giggleometer, I need to point out that I do not want the Jets getting the #1 pick this year. I don't want that team getting Mariota.

edit: Now that I think about it, a Jets win over the Broncos, followed by another 4 game losing streak, would be perfect.

Two firsts for the Jets this week:

They recorded their first interception of the season on defense (not bad for 5 games work when the head coach is supposed to be a defensive mastermind.)

And

They were the first team shut out this season.

I know Sanchez isn't a great example, but I wonder if that coaching staff could have developed Luck or even Manning. The way that OL pass blocks, I can only assume the next QB looks like Joey Harrington or David Carr.

Phillip Rivers is a top tier QB and is as tough as nails.

Wrecks Ryan's team is right at the top of the league in too many men on the field, stupid penalties and chippy play after the whistle. He's a genius I tell ya.

Michale Vick got absolutely crushed on one play. Each time he got hit I gave our dog Millie a treat. I hope she doesn't put on too much weight.

Speaking of The Dog Torturer, he really isn't the best backup in the NFL, as proclaimed on the Jest board.

Either one of the Jets QBs can lead them to the Stupor Bowl.

Thank you to the folks in TV land for leaving the Jets game early.

All I know is that life is good.

The Patriots were rolling, the Jests lost big, and the sun is shining through my windows.

The only thing that would have made things better would have been the Bills losing, but alas they didn't. Ah well. It's not a perfect world.

But the sun IS shining. :)

Apparently Geno missed a team meeting on Saturday, and showed up 5-10 minutes after the meeting ended. So he didn't show up Saturday, or Sunday! What a smart cookie that quarterback is!
