You know you are a Pats Fan when...

Your first memory of Irving Fryer is of him wrecking his new sports car at halftime during a game at Foxboro.

Someone talks about having female sports reporters at the facility, and your first thought is of Zeke Mowatt.

...Schick is bad, Gillette is good, and it doesn't have a damn thing to do with shaving, and Kraft is good, and it doesn't have a damn thing to do with macroni and cheese.

You have thousands of posts to web-site forum that is dedicated to Patriots football only?

Seemed too obvious to me.

If you went to Bryant for training camp and stood behind the ropes, you could reach out and touch the players

Saw John Hannah at Bryant and said his thighs are bigger than my waist..

The huge smile at the 2002 training camp of Tedy B. after they were doing wind sprints across the field

If you met the plane at Green Airport in the 1985 run... hoping to get a glimpse of your team.

When you got the Sears and JC Penney Xmas catalog in the 80's and 90's and hoped to find some Pats gear, and all you found was Green Bay, Chicago, Dallas(america's team:eek:) or the NY Giants..

Hated to go to work on Sunday and ran into the NY Jets Fans with their puke green jackets or the NY Giants fans and their gear, we would be blacked out and could only listen to the dulcet tones of Gil..

Squish the Fish means something (bonus if you still have a tee shirt).

You think it might have ended differently if Grogan had started.

You remember the Toilet Bowl.

You remember thinking that moving to CT is better for us than St Louis.

You think of 1976 as the good old days.

You remember that Foxboro is NOT the house that Brady built.

You know what the "elephant' position is.

You remember a great 8th round draft choice.

199 has a special meaning.

A snow plow coming out to the field brings a smile.

The name "Mosi" being a smile to your face.

You thank the good Lord every night that Kraft bought the team.

You went to see the Pats play at Fenway Park

You know Ben Dreith stole our first SB win from us.

No matter how bad they have been, you have resorted to thing like driving 4 hours to watch them play......on TV (blackouts are the 2nd worst thing in the history of the pats)

You knew they were going to be absolutely destroyed by the '85 Bears but bet your rent money anyways while at college because you just had to!

You put an over the air TV antenna on top of your house in Long Island, so you could watch a fuzzy TV with the Pats game instead of the Jets/Giants on cable.

You are still bothered by the fact that Gino Cappelletti is not in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, or that it took so long for Jim Nance to be inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame, or that Houston Antwine is still not in the Pats Hall of Fame.

When you were a young kid your dad got you a poster of Ron Sellers to make your bedroom complete, and hung it up next to posters of Bobby Orr, Derek Sanderson, Yaz and Hondo.

You know that the Patriots would have won a Super Bowl 25 years earlier if it wasn't for Ben Dreith being intimidated by the lack of security and a safe exit from Oakland.

Your hatred for the Jets goes back to the end of the regular season preceding the very first Super Bowl, when NYJ upset the Pats and took away a chance for a rematch with the Chiefs for the AFL championship - who they had tied at KC a few weeks earlier.

You remember games at Fenway, and then thought it was so great that the Pats were getting their own stadium... and then looked on a map to figure out where exactly Foxborough was.

When your sports writers openly hate the coach but are afraid to admit it

When, after having not been in patsfans forum for a few days, the first thread you go to is the Jets Suck thread.

You will always hate the Raiders for Darryl Stingley, winning with Jim Plunket and the 76 screwjob.

Or when anyone brings up the Tuck Rule you just smile and say to yourself that it was about time we got some payback for '76.

Nah. There are (present company excepted, of course) plenty of folks who have a lot of posts out here who are, by no means, "fans."
