What do I expect to see this weekend vs the Bengals? The Patriots can’t play any worse than they did Monday night!

Offense

Look for some no huddle offense. They couldn’t do that in KC because of the noise. Two tough road games (Heat and Noise). I know they won’t make excuses, but those two were major factors. I would like to see a commitment to the run. If the Bengals load the box like KC did, Brady must check off and find a way to throw to LaFell and Gronk. Perhaps we will see Dobson and Thompkins too. Thompkins has a knack for beating tight coverage off the LOS against press coverage.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Amendola inactive. Why hasn’t McDaniels utilized Wright? He can catch (4 catches on 5 targets). Perhaps they sit Hooman in favor of Solder as the 3rd TE.

Let make Brady’s 1st pass an easy swing pass to Ridley or Vereen.

Defense

Lets be aggressive and attack the Bengals! I hate seeing Revis backing up in a zone or passive defense. The Chiefs ran right at Chandler Jones. Put Hightower as the LB on his side. I bet they won’t run that way too many times.

Special teams will be different with Ebner out. He was the personal protector on the punt team.

Crowd Noise

Patsfans cannot sit on their hands in this one … Be Loud and Be Heard !!!

Brady was right we sometimes are quiet … lets show the whole league that we are the homefield advantage!

What I expect vs the Bengals? Another loss.
Me too. Two TD grabs by AJ Green and an interception by Darqueze DenNARD. The difference in pronunciation will be mentioned at least twice by the announcers. I see the Patriots tweeted that the names of Dennard/Dennard--distant cousins--differ for some strange reason.

I just hope this won't be another blowout embarrassing loss on national tv.

Wish I could dislike & agree with this. Can't see us winning but I hate saying that. We won't go hard after Dayton as he gets rid of it fast. Hope our coverage is good and some surprise blitzes get there. And we have to run the ball a lot.

No disrespect intended, but this seems more like the things you want to see, not necessarily what you expect to see.

I expect a Bengals win by no more than 10 points.

I think the Pats have too many problems at the moment to beat Cincy, but I also doubt that they are going to get blown out routinely.

I actually think we can win if Brady gets pristine protection without help from TE. Everything else would fall into place. I just don't see that happening.

If the Pats were playing up to their potential (health, O-line and receiving core gels, Collins, Easley show signs of improvement, etc) we'd be able to beat any team in the league, save for maybe Seattle. Unfortunately, I don't think we're there yet. I'm not ready to give up on the season, but I'm fully expecting us to be at, or near .500 going into the byeweek....

All I'm hoping for tonight is for the offense to show some improvement, the coaches to let Revis play man, and the game to be a contest rather than a blowout.

PWP: So, you're expecting a KT appearance a la Bob Gladeux from the stands?

PWP: I hope not. I wouldn't bet against CIN instructing their corners to jump that first play route with safeties playing back as insurance. Pick 6 to start the game.

PWP: Agreed. Chandler Jones plays the run like a red seats fan cheers

Seacoast Fan & I will be cheering loudly!

THEY ARE DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMED!! Nothing good will come from this game.
Honestly, I think that it will be a competitive game. But I am not sure that this team has enough to beat an undefeated team. The Pats lack chemistry, IMO. It shows on the football field. They are not playing as a team. It seems like it's every man for himself right now.

I hope they can find a way to win. I'm just not sure if this group has the heart to fight for it.

And I agree about the crowd noise. The team needs our support. Fans need to make it hard for the Bengals tonight. Show the league that we are not passive. I wish that I had tickets. By the time the game is over, I would have no voice...but I would stomp my feet and whistle my arse off to support my team.

What has changed for the Pats from the last 8 quarters of football, to today?

1. Browner is back.
2. KT was waived and Tyms might be active?

If we see the same old vanilla D and predictable play calling on O, then this game will not be close.

What we have seen on offense has been terrible so far. The OL has been brutal, regardless of who has been in playing and Brady is going to take a kill shot, likely from his blind side the way Solder is playing, sooner or later, which will end his season. And ours! (with apologies to the Garapolo fan club who don't understand that 4th quarter mop up time does not equate to being ready to start and succeed in the NFL)
We do have a fullback on the roster so how about keeping him in to block for Brady once in a while? Might this not give Brady a little more time? What about this new H back TE weapon we got in the ill advised Mankins trade? How about putting some plays in for him? How about getting Dobson and or Tyms back on the field? You know a little speed to maybe open up the underneath while also keeping the D honest. How about not giving up on the run half way through the first quarter?

The D has had moments where it functioned well but has also played so poorly at other times that I have no idea what to think. If you had told me at the end of last season that we would have both Jones and Vellano playing serious minutes in 2014, I would have said no way our head coach lets that happen again. Yet here we are. Again! And with Tommy Kelly now playing in Arizona. In short, this is train wreck worthy decision and an epic fail on the part of the GM/head coach! It is inexcusable.
Hopefully Browner will allow the coaching staff to get more aggressive. We should be trusting Revis's skill set a lot more than we have and the decision on how he is currently being used is every bit as confusing as the Jones/Vellano debacle. One thing I am sure of is that if we see no pressure on the QB, Dalton will pick us apart and blow us out.

The Bengals are a good team with play makers on both sides of the ball.
Fortunately for us, though, these play makers are coached by Marvin Lewis.

I have no idea what will happen tonight but if we see the same old same old that we've seen from the coaching staff the last couple of weeks, both in terms of how certain players are being utilized and in offensive and defensive play calling schemes, then this game is over already.

i am disappointed that browner is inactive for this game. i thought they could use somebody that had an intimidating presence out there, even if it drew a flag or two. i really want to see them develop some nastiness, and it just has not been there so far.

still, i think they find a way to win this game tonight. not exactly sure how, but i just have a hard time believing that they are as bad as we saw last monday night, or that the bengals are as good as people think. i think gronk has a big night, shaking off some of the cobwebs, and i am hoping for the defense to cause a couple of turnovers. that's my story.

also, my sister's friend is singing the National Anthem tonight and sis asked me to record it. i am going to the game. i am trying to make it in there to record it for her, but not sure if i will or not, as i cant get headed til my buddy from maine gets here. if anyone going to the game tonight thinks to, it would be great if they could record the anthem and post it up.

No, Browner is not back.
Tyms is not on the team.

Other than that...

The doubtfuls for the Bengals are really good in LB Vontaze Burfict, a wonderful guard in Kevin Zeitler, and a good receiver in Marvin Jones. Burfict, an undrafted headcase out of Arizona, reminds me of a young Bryan Cox. Burfict is an all-pro. And, if he plays, I'm having nightmares that he'll do to Edelman what Cox did for us in 2001 against the Colts' Pathon. Remember that? That was the catalyst for this wonderful 13-year run.

Tonight if we lose, something almost unheard of during this timespan after a bad loss, it may signal the end of the era. That's what people across the country are babbling.

I have to laugh. Browner is back and eligible to play only the team has decided he won't be of sufficient value to them in order to have him activated for tonight. Was he not allowed to practice with the team during his suspension???

As to Tyms, I did not know he'd been released after the suspension was up.

What do i expect tonight? To crush the enemy, to see them driven before the crowd and to hear the lamentations of their fans. I'm just not sure on whos going to do the crushing and driving and doing the lamenting:mad:
