It was already a matter of time: Brady trade talk has begun

This is the so called patriot way. They never think about individuals, the whole organization instead. Now the whole team is going down. Good job Bill and Krafts.

Yes, good job Bill and Krafts. All you managed with your shenanigans was to keep a team in contention for the Super Bowl every single season for 14 years. Losers! #teamoverreact

How much of that competitiveness was due to have a potential GOAT as their QB?

Did they do what's better for the organization this year? Letting our Oline with more holes than a swiss cheese, inactivating our 2nd best WR? Basically wasting 2 years of a GOAT QB so we had a chance to develop good (not great or elite) players? Playing our strongest points in the defense?

Sorry, but there is plenty to complain about our coaching staff and off-field leaders. They've been messing things up

Why don't you jump on the Gang Green Bus, plenty of seats.. they even have an extra fireman's hat.

Messing things up?? We are four games into the season and 2-2. is that messing things up??

There are two really "great" articles in the Projo this morning by those dinosaurs Donaldson and Reynolds, they might provide a few new talking points..

So it's the organization's fault their 1st round Top 20 pick LT is a wallflower out there? Solder has been by far the worst player on the OL given the circumstances.

It's way too easy to pretend they only had 4 games to see our team problems, specially on offense.

Our line was bad last year. Our receiver were bad last year. They had the whole last season, offseason and the preseason to judge the capacity of our team. Everyone on this forum knew what we had to improve in order to get back to the Super Bowl. You may hope for things to get better, and in fact i do believe it's capable of happening. But they deserve much critiscim so far.

Are you saying that the team that drafted said wallflower, didn't developed him the way it should nor found a substitute if they thought he would be liability don't deserve criticism? I think they do. If only it was the only problem in our offense, then it could be overlooked, but that isn't the truth now, is it?

So I guess Scarnecchia wasn't this great OL coach like everyone says he was, huh? Because that's the guy he wanted.

He was a great coach, no doubt. But everyone is capable of making mistakes.Plus, you are the one who said that he was the worst of all our Olineman.

Who drafted him again? Pete Carroll? Bill Parcells?

I love this argument. If they had any idea that TFB would have become what he did they wouldn't have waited until the 6th round to take him, QBs taken that late are intended to be camp arms who might compete for the backup QB job.

They won the lottery when they drafted him, I don't see why that becomes a genius move rather than a lucky one.

The fact is, the type of people in our fanbase who give us our reputation (the trade Brady for Cassell, offensive line is bad so Brady sucks crowd), are a minority. They're a very, very, very small minority.

Even if internet posters inflate it to something that looks in the neighborhood of 20%, it's far, far, far less. For every one person posting on this forum, there's untold thousands of people who aren't that are die hard Patriot fans.

If Brady was traded, New England would be overwhelmingly crushed, pissed off, and feeling completely betrayed. There's a lot of love for Brady in New England living rooms everywhere, where fathers, sons, families, people, are all right now eagerly waiting for the Cinci game who you will never hear from.

If trade-whispers turn out not to be just tabloid trash click bait, Kraft and Belichick are under estimating the backlash from native fans. Take that to the bank.

That said, just to add my two cents to a play along, if the worst comes (a Brady release or trade), the best story that could come out of it would be him going to Cleveland and getting his 4th for the victory-starved Browns that already have a lot of pieces in place.

Instant unanimous GOAT status.

Also, if it did happen, we know at least Brady would have just as much say in any trade as either team, because of the threat of retirement. So he could evaluate what he needs for a Superbowl and go to where they have it in place.

Prediction

when BB wins his 4th SB with our next QB they are gonna rename it The Belichick Trophy

Brady is WAY more important than Bill there is no chance Bill gets one before number 12 does if he leaves town.

Because a sane coach would surround a SUPERSTAR QB with weapons for his whole career and that's exactly what another team would do for Brady: HELP HIM.

The possibility of Brady not finishing his career in a Pats uniform is gut wrenching. If he did leave us, I'd blame the team for what went awry. I would still cheer for Brady.

Besides I strongly dislike Kraft. Belichick can be great but recently I've grown tired of his attitude. Something is very wrong with the team and the fact that he deflects or totally shuts down potential criticisms in media questions isn't too impressive.

i disagree

BB has 10 more years left if he really wants it

Brady has 3 or 4, maybe

Plus in that scenario Brady would be going to a new system with new coaching at the end of his career

So unless that team was stacked, i cant see Brady winning a SB with a new system at the end of his career

just my opinion

When you have a superstar QB coming in then that team adapts to HIM not the other way round. Bill doesn't get it, and i guarantee you Brady would get way closer or win a SB while he is still playing and Bill is still coaching.

Looks like a few reporters have attended the Shalise Manza Young School of reporting. Brady is going nowhere. The only way I see Brady leaving is if he asked to be traded.

well i respect your opinion and see your point

i wish BB would have kept Kelly and found a way to get an outside WR......im still holding out hope that the OL "gels" and improves

but BB has at least twice as much time left as Brady, IMO.....assuming BB wants it

and mental faculties dont drop off a cliff the way that physical abilities often do
