Find this hilarious, the Globe amongst other mediots in the area spread and perpetuate the rumor about Dobson/McDaniels having a dustup, when BB offers an explanation they think that the explanation is a coverup.. it leaves more questions.

The need to parse very word is absurd...

This is some of the most incoherent rubbish I have read anywhere (including this forum). A collection of random snide remarks and speculation that is admittedly based on zero information or insight.

Yeah, so the crap storm SMY started was nothing more than a "tiny rumor." Right.

Boston.com has become an embarrassment. Used to be a decent source for news but when the Globe site went paid, boston.com became its free and cheap tabloid click-bait ugly cousin.I finally removed my bookmark to it after this absurd Dobson coverage ... final straw. Their headlines are the most antagonistic crap; I found often I would click just to see who would write such an absurd column but of course that's what they want. Abraham and Wilbur are pathetic.

You should check the numbers on some of them

We agreed to disagree, MG quoted my post, this response was to him. I stand by my belief that something went on with Dobson beyond his play that has prevented him from being active the past 2 games.

This is an example of what's wrong with false stories. There will always be people who'll run with the Dobson vs McDaniels lie, even after the truth has been reported. It happened with the Duke Lacross lie and the Richard Jewell lie (the Atlanta Olympic bombing). Meanwhile, the mediots can go on printing lies and nothing will happen to them, and the Matt Laurers of the world will be "insulted" at being offered "only" 17 million dollars for reading someone else's print from a piece of paper.

It's pretty amazing how quickly people have forgotten Amendola's week 1 game last year. There's no way anybody could have been disappointed with how he performed in that one.

There was a way to be disappointed, he got injured right off the bat.

Hah - -well, I guess I should get some kind of credit for leaving you speechless. ;) But I'm not sure what about either posts is all that out-of-leftfield.

That's my fault. I initially typed "The perils of having someone on ignore" to show how confusing that double post was to me for a second, since I could not read what you were responding to in the second post. When I put the picture in, I mistakenly edited out the line.

So what's everyone's guess? Will Dobson suit up tomorrow or not?

I think Dobson will suit up (if he's not injured). Just from a coaching/motivational standpoint, Belichick probably doesn't want to kick the guy when he's down.

I think that Dobson will be active. However, I would not be greatly surprised to see Thompkins active and Dobson inactive.

I am sure that Dobson understands how he fits in and the evaluations of the coaches and medical staff. He does not need to be active and sit on the bench as a motivational stunt. If Belichick and Josh think that he is one the 46 most likely to help beat CIN, then Dobson will be active. If he is not viewed that way ,for whatever reason, he will be inactive.

There was nothing in that article that said Belichick lied. What it did show/confirm is what an egotistical dopestick the NFL has for a Commish. I'll take Belichick's word over Goody the Jet any day of the week.

I wouldn't take the word of either of them right now.

I don't think a player should get into a shouting match with a coach. That said, we've all seen what our OC can be like. He cursed his players out like a crazy person live on nation TV. He had Steve Scarnecchia, the son of Dante, film a 49ers walk-through. When it came out, we got this rouge employee BS about Scarnechia. Even if you buy his excuse, remember his infamous line about the difference in the Patriots 'spygate' and his own. About the Patriots situation: "That was practiced, that was coached, that was worked on." Bilicheck forgiving him doesn't change that he said it. Threw the Patriots under the bus. Those comments reopened the spygate wounds for a good while.

Multiple coaches and players spoke out against him. Stories about Brady not talking to him for about a month. Hillis. Marshall. Cutler. Mike Nolan, who ran the defense for McDaneils, had to part ways with the Broncos because he couldn't get along with McDaniels.

He ran a lot of people off from Denver, when he had full control. He acted like a megalomaniac.

So maybe Dobson has went from never having issues through all of his college career and a full season as a pro to an 'immature' player. Or maybe McDaniels is doing what he has done time and time again. Believe whatever you want.

Spot on. Absolutely killed it and post of the week IMO.

I think that overall McDaniels is a legit OC, but has shown that he needs to be reigned in time and time again. That's on BB and whether or not Dobson is active or not tonight could tell us a lot about what's in store for the rest of the season.
But I think the Pats will beat Cincy tonight and I sincerely believe they can turn their season completely around if everyone can get on the same page. Whatever dysfunction that exists right now within the organization needs be fixed ASAP, including caning McD if he's as big a problem as I suspect. People who put the O's shortcomings mostly on Brady are absolutely insane.

.

The coaching staff will have completely lost me if Dobson is inactive tonight (and not related to the foot). Just no excuse. Dobson had higher potential than any of out other receivers. You can't put out Lafell/Amendola/Slater out there with Edelman and expect to win.

He'll be active because of the benching story but doesn't mean he'll see any significant snaps. McDaniels would rather have useless Amendola out there rather than a 6' 3" outside WR.
