"You can go out there and run laps around the field forever and do sit-ups but until you put the other 21 guys out there on the field, it's different," Belichick said. "You just can't simulate football without 22 guys on the field. Just can't do it. Being in condition is important. Certainly not minimizing that. But playing football is playing football. It's not doing wind sprints. That's part of conditioning, but it's not part of playing football.

I don't think that means he won't play. How else are they suppose to get him ready for playing the games other than, you know ... actually playing the games.

It just means he will be eased into action.

Belichick is never one to tip his hand at anything. Belichick always give vague answer with new players and or injured players, this is nothing different.

If he's healthy and ready he'll play

press man to coverage with browner and revis.
also hope dennard returns, he's better than ryan as a outside corner. logan is better in the slot with dummy arrington.

CB1 - Revis
CB2 - Browner
Nickel - Dennard
Dime - Arrington
S1 - McCourty
S2 - Ryan

That's the secondary I want to see Sunday night. Press man across the board unless situation and/or down and distance call for off man/zone. From there, Patricia should be able to utilize some of his more creative blitzes up from to either stop the run or move Dalton off his spot. This would all be assuming health on top of the coaches pulling their heads out of their asses.

I have a different take. Brandon Tate is the 3rd leading WR on the Bengals, and they've got a 2TE attack with Eifert and Gresham. Stick Dennard on Sanu. Let Browner mess with Eifert. Arrington can deal with Tate. That'll leave Gresham to be dealt with by LB/S combos.

Just my $.02

If we beat Cinci and our rebound includes a jaw dropping hit by Browner my spirits will rise quickly.

If Browner and/or Dennard are out there and they aren't playing man coverage along with Revis. I may throw something against the wall.

Eifert is on IR with designation to return.

Had a similar moment today. A co-worker was going how the Bengals have two real good TE so it doesn't matter if Revis shuts down AJ Green.

I respond, ya well one of those "real good" TEs is on IR and the other has as many catches as Brandon Tate and less yards.

I've been trying to find the link about PATS activating Browner. Posts here seem to indicate that
it has happened. If PATS haven't activated Browner or Tyms they have until Monday morning.
If one or both get activated PATS may have a roster exemption whatever that means. Does that
mean they could actually carry 54 this weekend?

Precisely. Gresham is hardly a threat in the passing game now.

If either is to be activated for Sunday night, the pats have to do it by 4 pm tomorrow. If not, they have until 4 pm on Monday to make their decision. The roster exemption means they can carry the player on the roster without making a move. So there's 55 on the roster now. But if they're going to get activated, NE has to release or IR someone.

The middle of my pants will rise quickly

Who is the 2nd TE with Gresham??? They don't employ double TE anymore.

What chance do you think we have in seeing that set-up? I agree 100% but things that seem logical to the fans, never seem to happen...

It must be kind of interesting to have one guy sitting out of everything for four games, seeing and hearing pretty much only what we are seeing and hearing, then rejoining the team at a very low point. His perspective is unique. His energy is untapped. His frustration is not performance based, it is from having to helplessly watch this debacle.

I really hope he bring some fresh air into this team. They all need to breathe a little better.

Anyone else have the feeling that Browner is going to play with a HUGE chip on his shoulder and mean tomorrow night? I feel a huge hit by Browner Sunday night to set the tone. I wish they put Ryan at SS as well, but is he a good enough tackler in the run game?
