Considering fleming didnt practice last 2 days, I doubt devey gets sent to practice squad.
You missed my point. I wsa just correcting your statement that there is nothing to lose by adding Tyms. There is a roster spot to lose, and I said I don't think they will add Tyms to the roster. Since you suggested that they put him on the roster, I wonder who you would release? Remember that Browner will also require someone to be released, so you need to release two. Given the level of play, that may not be so difficult.

Not sure if this has been quoted yet, but this is from Reiss, today:

I'm aware of the report, citing an anonymous source, that Dobson might have "mouthed off" to Josh McDaniels. I don't know if that is true, but two people I trust who I believe are very close to that situation told me to be careful with that information. My understanding is that Dobson's lack of action is more football-based. Struggling to get open in practice. Doesn't do well in practice, hard to have confidence to put the player in a game. Take that for what it's worth, but that's the intel I have.

Looks like it's more football than attitude.

If Justin Hunter was ridiculously talented he would be setting the world on fire in Tennessee...I would pass. Justin Hunter = Cordarrelle Patterson 2.0 no thanks!

Both got overrated because of one year playing with each other in the simplistic Derek Dooley offense and playing schools like Georgia State, Troy, Kentucky etc. Where they were just better athletes then the guys that were defendign them

I didnt talk about Tyms, was someone else. I just responded to the suggestion of devey possibly offering up a roster spot.

What WR has come here, failed, and succeeded elsewhere? Lloyd decided he'd rather be a rapper for a year. Ochocinco is done. Galloway was done. Chad Jackson, Bethel Johnson, Brandon Tate, Doug Gabriel, Reche Caldwell, Sam Aiken, Taylor Price...have these guys lit up the world since leaving?

We haven't invested that highly in WRs. And our most recent big investment has been a dud (Amendola).

Valid point.....so much so that you have to question what that decision maker with the pats is looking at

After taking guys, these are the guys who were still available

Johnson - boldin burleson
Jackson - Jennings avant Marshall colston Hester hixon walker
Tate - Wallace hartline collie Gibson
Dobson - Williams Allen Wheaton

I mean look at the steelers.....they draft em, they play em, they are good, they leave, they draft some more....rinse, repeat

Is the pats front office that inept in their scouting or do the schemers simply not know how to compromise the scheme they want with the talent they have.....

Unless it is precisely this way, you suck

The only reason Edelman is still here is because of special teams....otherwise he would have been long gone

If according to Reiss, Dobson can't get it done in practice, why is Amendola active? He can't get it done in games.

At least start Thomkins. He's caught 6 times more balls than Amendola.

Apologies! I remebered content better than the poster. I am hoping the injury to Fleming is minor ("finger?"), but with Bill you never know.

Not practicing 2 days in a short week is not a good sign. Get ready for Devey .

Thompkins must have pissed someone else off....as did wright

How about trading one disappointment (Dobson) for another (Justin Hunter)?

He always snap chats my friend and he always look high as hell lol. He sent him one of him eating at a 5 guys this past Tuesday. I can see where the immaturity would come from

via Mike Reiss on his chat today- believe what you will

What's with Dobson's attitude problem? Do you have any insight in this?

Andy, I'm aware of the report, citing an anonymous source, that Dobson might have "mouthed off" to Josh McDaniels. Nah, this is complete BS. Just doesn't fit the narrative many people would rather believe. It makes much more sense that Dobson hasn't been active because he mouthed off to a coach, rather than he's practiced like crap.

Jordan Devey
Danny Amendola

Because Dobson before he was injured showed flashes he could be a good receiver in the league. He is still coming back from injury and may be slowed by the foot. Dobson has an upside. I don't think Hunter does.

I think Hunter has a good bit more upside than Dobson. More downside too, though. I'm not a huge fan of Dobson's upside, I see him as above average at best.

Hunters own team mates were coming out saying they were incredibly impressed most talented receiver blah blah blah they could tell their grand kids they played with Justin Hunter I say it doesn't hurt to make a call to the Titans.
A fourth and Danny A isn't too steep a price.

So AGAIN our FearLESS Leader would rather bite off his sleeves to spite his hoodie?!
This is becomin a JOKE even a Soap Opera ends at some point.
Brady is left out there to dry. Surround him with weapons that GOAT QB Deserves especially in Twi-Light of his career STOP'da INSANITY Bill!

And if players can't grasp our O Play Book Then........
You do a Down & Out Near Hydrant,
You Do a Button Hook,
You Do a Stop & Go
Gronk, Over Middle Seams
And Ridley, Here, Put Some Stick'm On Your Hands!

Hunter has excellent upside.

The one thing I really like about Dobson was he was able to get open consistently. The guy has a good double move. We haven't seen enough because of his injury, but it is difficult to teach what he was doing. The question is whether he can do it consistently.

I think Hunter is what he is. A raw talent who is all physical skills and not much football talent. We see plenty of guys like that come and go in the NFL.
