That is Tom Brady's winning percentage throughout his career, and when all is said and done, it may be the most remarkable number in modern sports. No player will ever approach it again. Peyton Manning would have to win something like 100 straight games to equal it, and Joe Montana isn't even close. The number is so far ahead of the normal standard deviations among quarterbacks that you would almost think it is a misprint.

For everyone whining that the front office is conspiring, bungling, etc. and destroying Brady's final years, maybe you should take a serious look back at the past and realize just how amazing this organization has been, building a Super Bowl competitor every season, and I'll bet if you asked any quarterback- Brees, Manning, Rodgers- where they secretly wished they could have spent their career, New England would have been the place.

For every moan and groan that Brady hasn't been given elite wide receivers, remember that big-time receiver money means less big-time cornerback money. Every offensive lineman that gets paid more means a defensive line position with a lower budget. It's the salary cap era, folks. EVERY team has major holes and can't possibly satisfy every area.

The Patriots have done an amazing job of keeping a strong offensive line together year in and year out, and despite that Brady hasn't had a lot of "traditional" weapons- they sure have given him enough to set historic records. Maybe they messed it up this year. It happens.

Anyone who thinks that Brady is being "cheated" or that this is "shameful" should have their heads examined. If anything, the recent play of the team just goes to show that for so many years we have taken for granted all of success that this team, and Brady, have achieved.

That is consistency .... funny how the media are all standing next to the big pile of dirt ready to bury either him and/or the coach and/or the team or all three. We have been a very lucky fan base and lets hope he is around for at least a couple more years if he gets the help this team is long due owing him, IMHO....after those two years I am ok with the kid taking over.

If Peyton Manning had ended up in NE, he would have done well no doubt, but I don't think he would have been as good a fit as TB. Peyton occasionally changes the play and that would create friction with BB.

That .769 winning %? It's not going to get better, ever…beginning Sunday night.

In the end wins are a team stat not a QB stat.

I think that the major reason Brady has had such a high winning % with the Pats is due to one thing and one thing only. Brady simply doesn't make the dumb decision or the big turnover in crunch time. In all the years he's played I can't think of one time that he lost a big game because of a poor decision. QBs like Favre and Manning seemed to regularly make those type of mistakes.

It still doesn't mean that Tom Brady will be the best choice as our QB forever. At some point Garoppolo could end up being a better choice. He's looked better than any of our other backups, and maybe some day fans will be able to spell his name correctly.
