Yeah, I'm pretty much as far to the left as you can go politics-wise and I don't think this was a big deal by any means. The officials saw him slide and flagged him, Abdullah didn't make a big deal out of it, either, and the NFL did the right thing and acknowledged that he shouldn't have been penalized. Nothing to see here. For once, something the NFL handled well.

Now, the real question is why "going to ground" for a celebration is a penalty at all.

The Navy call Bahrain home,,they love working and living here. We have 2 Pastors inside the Base with their Church. Bahrain is the US oldest Ally since the First World War. I don't think the official should get any negative attention for the penalty. He didn't know what was happening, and tried to follow the rule the best he could. Inform the officials, give them specific instructions on what to do next time, issue an apology and move on.
