Berger also highlighted the fact that McDaniels often “threw players under the bus in meetings,” specifically mentioning receiver Brandon Marshall. “I never played for a guy in my life who guys wanted to play for less,” Berger concluded. “He was just a guy you didn’t care about.”

On a serious note, I thought this team does everything it can to win and put the best available players onto the field every game day. Dobson isn't getting playing time because he mouthed off to McDaniels? Hope the source is incorrect about this.

Aaron Dobson you took one for the team, and I am proud of you for that.

The coaching staff runs the show, not prima donna wide receivers.

If you got to spend a few minutes around the guy, you would understand how off your comment is. I live five minutes from the area he grew up in. He is around here, often. You would not have any idea this guy was a NFL player unless you knew beforehand. The story behind his supposed insubordination is unknown. We only know that multiple players that have played for McDaniels hate him.

And what if Aaron Dobson really has been showing something of an immature attitude during film study/practice etc that had been going on for awhile now? You'd still be "proud" of him for that?

Personally, I'm going to hold off judgement until we have more details which may never happen--but it's quite probable that the coaching staff may have been attempting to steer him back on the right track with their decision. I don't see how being a malcontent or doing the wrong thing should be seen as making you "proud," so I'm a bit confused to that.

Belichick had warned the team not to get caught up in Rex Ryan's personal business, to keep their thoughts to themselves, and not to give them any bulletin board material---yet what's he do? He goes out and publicly does exactly the opposite, which quickly draws tons of attention

Fine him, but you don't harm the entire team when the entire season is on the line in a playoff game.

He sat him for the opening series...

I think you're being a bit dramatic here. I don't think that was too harsh of a punishment, when Welker purposely went out and did exactly what his coach told them not to do. If anything, it was more of a minor slap on the wrist than it was anything else.

I'd kill for the full scoop. Maybe KT showed up with a "Free Aaron" shirt?

Iam surprised people are happy that our HOF 2nd yr Wide Receiver 'took one for the team' by talking up to his coaches reportedly. Thats the way to behave.
Are we so blind in our hate for JMD to blame him for every debacle now ignoring all the oline issues and such ? Is that also his fault ? Should we fire BB for this ? Its mind boggling to me how we heard the word 'mouthful' from dobson and interpreted everything bad about JMD. But whatever makes everyone happy.
If it turns out dobson really did something stupid then people here will blame him for scouting dobson and influencing BB to draft him instead of cordorelle patterson.

Yes, the game calling of Josh McDaniels does play a part in the performance of the OL.

I'm not gonna be the one to start any whispers or anything like that BUT...I heard it was McD that pushed Humpty Dumpty off that wall.
McD pushed Devey off the wall? Dobson couldn't put Devey together again?

Give that man a cigar!

This whole season is teetering on the precipice of a full blown Mad magazine spy vs. spy episode.

All of a sudden, every self serving grownup punk with a pen and a twitter account thinks HE'S the knower of all things Patriot.

Broken clock right twice a day

NEM was right for once in his life.

I don't think I've ever seen Patriot fans this divided before on so many things at such an extreme level.
Lots of legitimate positions and lots of completely illegitimate positions (Brady haters), but I don't think anyone can say right now that Belichick, for once, isn't utterly deserving of all the heat he's taking.

This year was a golden opportunity with the compliments to our defense, and so far he has completely blown it, so the things we all usually defend him on just suddenly don't seem all that defensible.

When things get this unstable, pebbles cause avalanches.
