BELICHICK IS TO BLAME.

It's fun that the biggest Brady fanboy is so focused on draft position.

The problem with discussing with people like you and Pats16no is that you aren't football or Patriots fans. You are Brady fans. So to get something even close to an objective discussion with you about Brady, or someone that is competing with Brady is impossible. You don't care about a team after Brady. For people like you there isn't a team after Brady.

I've been a Patriot fan since I was a teenager in the early nineties. I watched NFL games all day on Sunday's at my friends house, week after week, and was the lone Patriot fan in my entire TOWN that wasn't an adult.

In our Superbowl against Green Bay, I was, in a house of about 20 people, one of only THREE people rooting for New England, and I live IN Massachusetts. So please do not tell me who is a Patriot fan and who isn't.

What I will say is that Tom Brady made me a much more passionate fan than I ever was before he got here. If Bledsoe lost, we lost, and I'd move on to the next week. When Tom loses and gets dumped on, I take it much more to heart.

But I will tell you where you are 100% CORRECT. To me there is a HUMAN ELEMENT to sports that many people apparently DON'T seem to share. I do NOT just cheer for "laundry." I'm not cheering for Michael Vick if he puts on a Patriot uniform.

Here. Let's see how many dislikes I can get with the truth:
If Tom Brady gets chased out of New England by the pitch fork squad, or if the Front Office were to conspire against him, or if he was unfairly treated in ANY WAY, and he went, of all places, to the New York JETS for one last year, I'd root for him to give us the beat down of our lives and win his #4th ring.

Why? Because I don't care what colors he's wearing, or what city he hypothetically ends his career with (if any besides our own).

Uniform designs change, stadiums change, rosters change, logos change, but Tom Brady will ALWAYS be a New England Patriot - the greatest New England Patriot there ever was.

Whether it be walking into a bar and hearing people erupt in applause, driving through a snow storm and listening to Gino sound like a giddy school girl with his "Tom Brady, you are Tom Terrific!", or hearing native New Englanders cheer him on like he was their long lost son, these are things I will never, EVER forget, and I certainly won't forget them for laundry, or "for the team" comprised of people who will forgettably come and forgettably go.

If you think that makes me an "inferior Patriot fan," I'd argue the exact opposite.

So you can just expect me to get defensive any time anyone else wants to attack him, or question whether or not he should be our starting quarterback.

Nobody can do Tom's job as good as he can and that will be true until the day he chooses to ride off into the sunset.

BB is to blame for not giving TB what he needs to win. Look what Elway has done for Manning. He has gone all out to surround Peyton with the best players he can get. Give TB the Broncos and he would win the SB no problem. I am not saying TB is not having his own issues but the blame here is squarely on BB and his pi$$ poor coordinators.

Brady is not broken .... It is impossible to break something that is so soft

You know what works?

Having your 100M qb almost die from internal bleeding, and while that is going on, a young guy comes in, the team is motivated and the team wins..... Then the 100M guy is dumped and the resources are dedicated to building the best defense.... Then the new QB wins until they have to pay him....

Maybe if Brady gets dumped and picked up by another team they can already have all the goods

Btw, the colts made the right move and it was a no brainier

Wrong on every account.

1. The Patriots didn't win because they lost Bledsoe's contract. They won because they ended up with the future GOAT when he got injured. Bledsoe, and his contract, were still part of this team when we won our championship. Try again.

2. JAG isn't the next GOAT. Try again v2.

3. The Colts made the wrong decision. Luck is overrated and may never even see a Superbowl no matter how much the media crowned him the next best quarterback. They were wrong, as usual, and Wilson is better.
Meanwhile, Peyton is setting records and was the AFC Champion last year.

If we ever start doing thinks "the Colt way," (benching players at 15-0, sucking for draft picks, dumping an all time great while he's still playing well for an unproven nobody), we'll end up with Colt results.

Which is basically failure.

Try again v3

I look at his play, I see passes that if not for the Chiefs being in a prevent would have been intercepted and 60% of his passing yards coming on pass behind the line of scrimmage that LaFell broke off for almost 40 yards. He is a gunslinger who is undersized and has a questionable arm; his draft position is an indication of that, and although he has shown promise, it very unlikely he develops into a franchise QB, as I said under 5%. I know many like to believe that the Patriots are significantly smarter than every other team, but that is not always true especially in terms of drafting. If Garopollo was actually a player who showed the ability to step in for Tom Brady I do not think 61 teams would have passed on him for the like of Bridgewater, Carr, Manziel, Bortles, etc. I would have a lot more confidence if we could develop our #59 overall selection Aaron Dobson into a WR capable of being active on game day.
That's not correct @Brady6. Given some of the decent opinion pieces you put forward, sometimes I wonder what you watch and how you come to your conclusions when you put blatant mistruths out there. Gunslingers throw the ball no matter what. I haven't seen that from Garoppolo.

I have no idea if JAG is Brady's replacement but you need to push aside your want to talk down players without evidence to support your assertion.

The moment the OL stops crapping the bed and Brady's faith returns, the talk of replacing the QB will stop and JAG will continue to develop quietly and in the back round.

Guess it's time for you to change teams or maybe even sports

Did you read any of his scouting reports or watch any of his college tape?

Bad: He doesn't have an elite arm, which shows up in a lack of velocity on certain throws. Garoppolo's height and body size are good, but not ideal, for an NFL quarterback. His gunslinger mentality shows up when he forces passes in tight windows. Garoppolo needs to protect the ball better. He had the second highest fumble percentage of top quarterback prospects in the 2014 class, according to ESPN Stats & Information.

Cons
Will force the ball into traffic too frequently; 51 career interceptions is unnerving
Has a 'gunslinger' mentality which can bite him at times
Will see a steep increase in level of competition from FCS to NFL
Played exclusively out of the shotgun in a spread offense in college; will need experiencing dropping back from center
Hand size (9 1/4") has been brought up; isn't necessarily ideal
Slender frame may make him susceptible to injuries

All due respect AB because I genuinely like you as a poster I think you should do a little more research before you say I am posting mistruth, every scouting report predraft described Garopollo as a gun slinger.

Brady is not broken .... It is impossible to break something that is so soft
Tom Brady played the 2010 playoffs with a broken foot, he played last season with torn ligaments in his hand, what are you talking about soft, have your ever played football, I do not think any soft men play in the NFL.

The things some people will say on the internet under behind a username that they would never say in real life...

Jimmy is a special talent. So far physically he looks the part. He will just need some time to get acclimated to the NFL. He would however accomplish nothing offensively with this team as currently constituted. Tom however, will be putting this team on his back and dragging it into the playoffs. It won't be easy, but that's how it's gonna go down.

@Brady6, I don't particularly care if you like or respect me and yes, I did read a lot of his scouting reports (you tend to do this if you want to learn more about the players the Patriots draft for the simple appraisal process). A lot of those scouting reports talked about a good decision maker who apparently sees all the field, distributes the ball amongst his targets and throws with good accuracy. They also listed weaknesses, which varied from report to report. The strengths appeared to be universal.

The sooner you stop presenting yourself as an authority, the better you will be for it.

You were wrong in everything you said and in every point you tried to make.

You were wrong in everything you said and in every point you tried to make.

Right. According to Coach IllegalContact, the key to winning is to dump your franchise quarterback and go with free rookies every couple years, and follow the Colts model of phantom-success.

Absolutely brilliant.

Actually. It's more like Brady is under contract this year, with an option(starting week 17 this year) for three more years. So it's not completely irrelevant.

I do not think Brady is toast yet. I will certainly give him more than 4 games of the season before even coming close to ringing a bell for us to move on .

With that said I actually think Garoppolo short term might be our better QB(no does not mean start him!) because our OL is so crappy and Garoppolo is faster than Brady. Brady's biggest weakness is pressure up the middle, and our middle sucks.
If this team cuts Tom Brady it will become the black hole of the NFL, no player is going to want to play for a team that shows that little appreciation for their franchise players. Belichick would be remember as the coach who was ousted for Spy Gate, lost 2 Super Bowls, traded Seymour, Mankins, Moss, and let Welker leave for his biggest competitor, drafted and extended a murderer, had his all world TE get injured blocking for a field goal, and released arguably the greatest QB to ever play the game. Those 3 Super Bowls in the early 2000s would not mean ****; it would be a fall from grace only outmatched by Hernandez.

As far as Garopollo goes, he is not ready to start, not even close, go back and watch the Giants preseason game, do you know how many **** QBs have looked good in garbage time over the years, Curtis Painter made a career of it.

Then you won't have to watch....but I will

This team was a black hole before..... I still saw every game

I was trying to be nice, but if you want to respond like a douche so be it; I can roll with that approach too. I do not really give a **** if you think I respond like an authority, you called me a liar and you had zero basis to do so, I called you on it, so get over it.

Every post you make in my direction has the same implication, as if you are a stronger poster than me and my approach to posting is flawed, I think you should yield your own advice on the authority note mate…
