A positive: Pats QB best QB Rating in the NFL!

What does his utterly worthless QBR have to do with anything while he's holding a clipboard?

No. No. No. The passing stats came from the time when he was on the field playing! :)

I didn't see his clipboard-holding stats... I don't know if those were positive or not... :)

How are they at all meaningful when they are attained completely meaninglessly when HE WILL be holding a clipboard?

In other words, what's your point? JAG's the GOAT? Best QB in the league? What should we be doing with this information? He's a rookie back up that hasn't faced a meaningful blitz or a meaningful defense. He hasn't won a meaningful game. What does his "QBR" tell you?

That he should start against Cinci?

He threw passes that if the Chiefs were not in a prevent style D would have been picked off with the exception of the pass to LaFell, but that was behind the line of scrimmage.

BS. KC would have loved to pick G. They had no chance.

He has showed some promise, but the likelihood that he develops into a franchise QB is in the 1-2%. I would settle for us developing our second round WR into a franchise WR, if they could do that I would probably be more optimistic about them developing Garopollo into a franchise QB.

I would settle for G being a franchise QB. Franchise QB >>>>>>>> franchise WR.

I don't understand how Jimmy and James White aren't starting. White averages 7 ypc. BB has clearly lost his mind. Obvious it's a media/press stunt by starting Brady and sitting White. Kraft is probably saving money one way or another. Is it possible he's being paid off by China to start Brady over Jimmy? I think we need to stop being so naive.

Maybe I'm missing the point here but my impression was that the OP was more than a little bit tongue in cheek.
I thought that was fairly obvious as well.

Apparently the over abundance of so many enraged knee-jerk overreactions in the immediate aftermath of the Kansas City massacre has resulted in much of the forum with sarcasm detectors in need of repair.

Well, sorry to the OP, but there's plenty of people trying to make the case that he should suddenly be our guy. I can't tell if one out of a hundred of them isn't meant to be serious when they all basically sound the same.

I'll bow out and you guys can talk about JAG's Quarterback Rating in peace.

Also, funerals, 9/11 victim ceremonies, and while your neighbors house is burning down are typically bad times for jokes.

Week #4 of the 2014 season as well.

Well, Patriot fans have had better weeks so I know I'm a bit frazzled.

You haven't seen him play against anything. You saw him in preseason and you saw him against KC playing a prevent defense in garbage time.

This is why I should probably just ignore opinions of people on the internet. For all I know, the sudden JAG hype is coming from `Pats fans` in Montana who will just cash out if it doesn't work and move on to the next big team. It's like all the Manziel supporters who hit the Cleveland forums in the off season demanding they start Johnny Backup. If it doesn't work, no skin off their back. They can move on and it just becomes Ohio's problem.
Why are you taking the bait?

Like I said in the other thread, the sudden Brady hate going on here amidst the fan base is bothering me more than the loss. I seriously question the motivations of any Patriot fan who doesn't want Brady to ride into the sunset on his own terms, and if that is denied to him, I hope he kicks our asses for it.

Because Brady is my bro and when this is all over we're going to get an apartment together.

Does this mean you're in The Brady Camp? Local sportswriters are always saying they talked to someone from The Brady Camp and I was wondering how I could join.

What should we be doing with this information?

Getting a chuckle from a fun little positive factoid from an otherwise dreadful game Monday night. I smiled when I was looking up Brady's stats and noticed that Garopollo leads the NFL in passer rating. What the heck... it beats jumping off the Tobin Bridge...

you sound like more of a brady fan than a patriot fan

i want him to be the QB as long as he is the best option.....not any longer.......and i doubt that will be into his 40's like he would have it if he were allowed to "ride into the sunset on his own terms."

Honestly, if we in any way have a chance to move to a future franchise QB like the Colts did with Manning then I hope we take it.

I'm just trying to focus on the positives. From the Pat's offense Monday night, I came up with several positive performances:

1) Garoppolo
2) Brandon LaFell (6 for 119 yards)
3) Ridley (avg 5.6 yards per carry, no fumbles)
4) Vereen receiving (5 rec for 41 yards)
5) James White (7.0 yards per carry plus 3 receptions)

You're seriously reaching when you try to pull out a positive performance from Garropolo... He was in during garbage time against a soft, prevent defense and completed 6 passes for 70 yards.. 37 of those yards were off a bubble screen to Lafell.

Don't get me wrong, its better than him throwing 0 completions, etc... but you can take any 3rd string QB in the league, heck you could go grab Tebow out of an announcers booth and he'll complete passes between the 20's against a prevent defense.

I can't imagine ANY Pats fan hating Tom Brady. That's absurd. However, from a 2014 football perspective, it's hard to ignore the fact that the offense stinks and that Tom Brady is not playing well. He's mired down with the EJ Manuels and Geno Smiths. Really, really bad. We can debate the reasons, but it is what it is. The Pats have to figure out how to get better play from the QB position because a completion percentage of 59% and a yards/attempt nearing the Gabbert Zone (5.8 y/att) isn't going to cut it.
