Today is the 1st day I have actually believed that Brady may end his career with another team.

What's ironic is how many bashed the preachings of one Mike Felger and now virtually everyone is saying the same things about the operations of the patriots. Bad drafting, not spending to the cap, cutting guys like Tommy Kelly for no sensible reason, replacing Welker with Amendola (vomit)...the list goes on and on.

I'm not terribly worried about the defense but the offense makes me depressed.

No, the Patriots do spend to the cap. They aren't leaving money on the table on an annual basis; they really do spend essentially every dollar the NFL gives them for salary.

The reality is that it's incredibly rare for players to stay with one teams these days, even superstarts. Did Colts fans ever picture Peyton wearing a different uniform? I'm sure not. Or how about Favre?

There is always a very realistic chance that Brady plays a year or two with another team. I'm not sure it's something to get to upset about though. After all, no one seems to mind that Paul Pierce no longer plays for the Celtics. Pierce and Brady will always be Boston sports icons.

Farve had a personal vendetta against GB and Manning is a Stat whore.....so yeah.

Man some serious over reactions going on here. Sunday can't come soon enough. Anyone else remember the Ravens getting ****ed stomped on their own field by the donkeys in 2012 right before the playoffs? Make the playoffs and anything is possible.

No matter what happens, I am thankful for everything he has done for this team. Constantly restructuring his contract to help keep and build a good team for a shot at winning the SB. Always blaming himself and the team as a whole for a loss rather than any specific players. Praising players other than himself and the whole team during wins unlike others who praise themselves. A class act on and off the field.

If he complains about the FO not making good decisions or asks to be traded, I wouldn't blame him at all. With the cards he has been dealt I too would be frustrated and angry.

But I just don't see him complaining publicly or maybe even privately. He loves NE and the fans as well as Belichick and Kraft. I just don't see him complaining about how he's being treated. He will just go on and do his best to help the team win.

You could not wish for a better QB, leader, and human being. He will always be a Patriot and the best player we have ever had no matter what happens.

Perfectly said and I agree 120%

4th & 2 in 2009. National outlets were all over Bill.

It's funny though, cause I think that was one of his better decisions. There defense was playing like as at the time, so you might as well see if your offense could close it.

But still though, we rarely ever see people call out Belichick or Kraft for their GM and money decisions.

And you could even argue it did actually work. Shame we didn't have any time outs to challenge it if I remember correctly. The money issue is extremely overrated. Pats spend to the cap almost every season. Kraft is more than willingly to do so, if they have cap room it's because BB is preserving cap space. And the money isn't his so it's not like by saving the money he's getting something out of it.

They'll never trade, let walk or cut Milloy, Willie,Ty Law,Seymour,Adam V,Vrabel,Deion Branch,Logan Mankins...uh...er...Tom Brady.

Nah...never happen.

Is Tom Brady shipped in a casket or body cast?

I'm not sure if you live in NE, but it happens all the time on radio, TV and print around here. All the time (emphasis added)...

Lou Merloni has all the answers....and what a slam bang history of success he's had.

I don't think people realize how difficult it is to compete in the NFL and be in the playoffs every single year. They can't sign everyone, they can't keep everyone. Its the mathematics of the salary cap that is designed for parity.

Yet we have a team that has been a benchmark of excellence for the rest of the league and everyone is whining because Brady doesn't have enough weapons. If Belichick went out and bought those weapons instead of spending it on defense then you'd be screaming that the defense sucks.

You can't have it all. Sad to say but I think some fans are just spoiled rotten. Maybe they forget what it was like when we had other people buying the groceries. Let me give you a hint, it wasn't pretty.

People look at the Seahawks and wonder why can't we be like them. Their QB makes 700K per year. They were lucky for him to mature soon enough to take that value and spend it elsewhere.

You want to be the Broncos and mortgage the future so we can then suck for few years? Then go root for them because that is not the strategy employed by this team. Oh and newsflash the Broncos still didn't win it last year and they won't this year either.

It should no longer surprise me at how many Patriots fans cheer themselves up with the erroneous thought that the Broncos mortgaged their future but it does
