Today is the 1st day I have actually believed that Brady may end his career with another team.

Oh enough already. Contrary to a popular line of thinking on this board, neither the world nor Gillette Stadium will implode at the moment that Tom Brady ceases to be QB on the NEP. Life goes on. Thank God we have a GM that is able to see beyond the end of his nose. They developed Hoyer, they developed Mallett, and now, they have a chance to develop a guy with the talents most suited to their offense. No reason to think that JG won't develop into a fine starter that can be a part of complete team that can continue to compete for Super Bowls. I remember the late model Dan Marino--the quarterback that in my opinion Brady most resembles. He was a statue in the pocket that was constantly frustrated at the lack of protection and miscommunication with receivers. The Dolphins did not plan for his replacement, kept him around too long and suffered because of it. I for one am not interested in going down that route.

If BB is not going to give Brady, who is on the last few years of his career, suitable protection and weapons I have major concerns about what will happen when JG takes over. I have no issue planning for the future but when is enough enough? Why not worry this year and and not 2020 just yet?

They developed Mallett so well they shipped him out of town for a pack of gum.

If you're going to tell Belichick that he doesn't get to shop for the groceries, he's going to tell you that he's not going to cook the food either.
your right but it just might be time. as long as mcdaniels goes with him. hes got far to much influence with belichik when it comes to the roster.

It's happend to other great QBs, Montana and Unitas finished their careers with other teams, and some consider them the 2 gretest QBs ever. Favre has every record, and he played for several more teams after leaving GB. Hopefully Garappolo is to Brady as Rodgers was to Favre.
I believe he will. Garappolo is going to be a very good player.

It will take time and money to rebuild the offensive roster. The Gronk injuries, the Hernandez murders, the Amendola suckitude, and the Solder and Vollmer regressions were unforeseen and unforeseeable. In 2012, everyone was praising BB the GM for setting up Brady with 2 uncoverable young weapons, 2 exciting young backs, and elite bookend tackles. Two years later, what seemed like a promising young core is in a shambles. Obviously, that is going to hurt whoever is playing QB. But, that doesn't mean that Brady should be here till he's 40 or more and it doesn't mean that BB has failed Brady by not giving him enough weapons or protection as it wasn't for a lack of trying.

Tim Brady is the ultimate team player.

The guy took a pay cut, and then . . .
He didn't take a paycut. He took more money upfront in exchange for lower salaries later.

As Kontadiction said, he's untradeable/uncuttable for a couple of years due to massive signing bons acceleration.

Its a fine line for Tom. Bill and the staff have to either try and win with him now or get rid of him. As much power as bill thinks he has, Tom has it all and can really hurt this team if he wants.

We'll probably do something stupid and insulting to Brady like trading him to Buffalo.
I want Tom to demand a trade or get the coaches in shape. There is no reason to get blown out by the chiefs with suck garbage game planning. For once I hope Tom stands up to bill. Because bill can't afford to have the cap hit or force garappolo (not sure on spelling) in so early

As I've said before, Brady has kind of saved Belichick's ass the last couple of years. No defense, regressing offensive talent, etc.

Brady is starting to kinda get screwed by this team. I mean, look at Peyton's team; Denver is stacked! John Elway is doing everything he can to build around Peyton; the first two years he was building the offense, now he's been building defense.

Meanwhile Belichick has made really questionable GM choices, and isn't that good a drafter either...

i could see tom going to houston.

Houston would be a contender in that case. They're 3-1 with Ryan Fitzpatrick barely doing anything. And Brady has never played with a guy like JJ Watt before. Put Brady on that team... they could beat the Broncos.

Peyton hand-picked his team that already had most of the important offensive pieces already in place. There was no building around Peyton.

How many 1's and 2's can we get for him ... :D

well, yeah. But Elway has helped at least. He's gotten some good players since then.

But you get my main point. This team doesn't have much of anything to help Brady right now.

I believe he will. Garappolo is going to be a very good player.
I would like to see us develop Aaron Dobson, Nate Solder, Logan Ryan, etc. before I starting drinking the Kool Aid that they are capable of developing Garopollo into a starting QB.

U are that certain? mmm Can u predict tonites Mega Millions ##? You HOPE (as do I) that he'll develop into a very good player

Oh my god, this.

Luckily, Garopollo already has potential, but still. Whose to say the Pats will even build around him that well?

Who?

Yeah I know it is too bad, I am starting to think he might have been better off going on PUP at the very least for his confidence, being a game day inactive is not a good thing for a young player in my opinion.
