Today is the 1st day I have actually believed that Brady may end his career with another team.

Tim Brady is the ultimate team player.

The guy took a pay cut, and then lost his friend and security blanket Wes Welker.
They are not giving him the tools, to win. He may have been able to get by with Reche Caldwell when he was in his 20's.
Today he is having a hard time winning with a swiss cheese offensive line and wide receivers other than Endelman who would not make the Broncos practice squad.

There were media reports that Brady was really pissed when they traded Mankins.
I believe Brady has lost trust and faith in the Patriots organization.

Wouldn't you?

The have close to 10 million dollars available so I am sure Brady is wondering, why the hell did I take a pay cut. Bob Kraft is on the record as saying, I don't answer to Tom Brady.

I never actually thought that Brady may be traded until today.
If I was Brady, I would probably ask for a trade. They have showed nothing to prove that they are in a win now mode. If they were, why would they have 9 or 10 million dollars available,

I am sure Brady would rather win another superbowl with another team, than retire a Patriot on a 8-8 team.
He must be looking at Mannings receivers and thinking, I could win with that supporting cast.

Imagine Brady with the Bears offense.....
Do you think Brady could win with Brandon Marshall, Alshon Jefferies, Martellus Bennett & Matt Forte?
I am sure the Bears would trade or dump Cutler in a second to get a 38 year old Tom Brady.
Cutler mad have a golden arm, but so did Jeff George... Brady's is a proven winner which is something nobody
will ever say about Cutler. Marshall and Forte have a limited window too, and I am sure the Bears are not building for 2020.

None of us know what will happen for sure, but today is the first time that I actually believe that there is a chance
that Brady may end up playing for another team before his career ends.

Who could blame Brady?
Not me !

I'm not sure when it will happen but I think it could get ugly.

Brady's contract essentially prevents that from happening unless the team wants to continue to eat dead money.

Hold your horses guys. Look at our QBs pre-Brady. No all-pro's, no studs, Drew was a nice QB, but would never have taken us to the promise land. He's in a funk, but he can still win a championship for us.

I agree that the best thing for Brady would be to try to get traded to a team which would become a contender with his addition - maybe Houston. Not Chicago, Cutler's got a huge contract already. But I think Tom will stay and do his best - and continue to flounder in his twilight years with the inferior roster GM Belichick has built, which is tragic. The Pats may make the playoffs again, but Brady's never going to win another SB here. I wouldn't blame him for going to a team that will go balls-out to get him one, like Denver is doing for Manning.

As soon as they drafted a QB in the 2nd round I started to think that 2017 would be the last year for Brady on the Patriots roster.

It's happend to other great QBs, Montana and Unitas finished their careers with other teams, and some consider them the 2 gretest QBs ever. Favre has every record, and he played for several more teams after leaving GB. Hopefully Garappolo is to Brady as Rodgers was to Favre.

That would be amazing and send the NFL world into a tailspin.

All teams keep a few million around in case of injury and then having to sign someone off the street as a replacement, PLUS a few players that got ir'd last year didn't reach contract incentives (mayo, wilfork, ect) so those unearned incentives got rolled over into right now to make 9-10 million available. Thanks for asking.

there are big changes coming for sure. they need somebody else to start shopping for the groceries.
AYE Matey.....inho, he may be a great coach but hes a mediocre GM. In the past his coaching ability allowed this team to go places with average personel. But now its caught up with him. To many players of average ability on offense.

If you're going to tell Belichick that he doesn't get to shop for the groceries, he's going to tell you that he's not going to cook the food either.
You are probably correct

Brady is clearly frustrated by what is going on here. As long as BB is running the show they are never going to change the way they spend money or sign players. I am starting to wonder if Brady even want to finish his career here? Doesn't Brady contract get cut in half after this season? I can see things getting ugly between the Pats and Brady. I would not be shocked if this is Bradys last year in a pats uniform.

Truth is I am wondering if the patriots are even are even serious about winning a titles or are they just happy making money, finishing 12-4, and getting bounced in the playoffs.

Oh enough already. Contrary to a popular line of thinking on this board, neither the world nor Gillette Stadium will implode at the moment that Tom Brady ceases to be QB on the NEP. Life goes on. Thank God we have a GM that is able to see beyond the end of his nose. They developed Hoyer, they developed Mallett, and now, they have a chance to develop a guy with the talents most suited to their offense. No reason to think that JG won't develop into a fine starter that can be a part of complete team that can continue to compete for Super Bowls. I remember the late model Dan Marino--the quarterback that in my opinion Brady most resembles. He was a statue in the pocket that was constantly frustrated at the lack of protection and miscommunication with receivers. The Dolphins did not plan for his replacement, kept him around too long and suffered because of it. I for one am not interested in going down that route.
