Anyone else just feel depressed right now?

I watch the player who I see as the leader of the ROTY this year as the guy this team could have sorely needed if only we had hindsight ....imagine if we had a rookie like Kelvin Benjamin to target and give the 5'10 Edelman some time to breathe out there.

Depressed? hell no, I'm going to deposit a couple of checks, see my bank finally hit the positive balance.

Disappointed? probably so, was hoping a good game at least.

Taken one spot before Easley. He has looked excellent this year. Shown toughness in fighting for the ball.

Not only toughness but his huge size, arm length, eye for the ball and speed was something Brady would have had huge success with.

Oh,what could have been :(

Not that I feel sorry for them whatsoever, but I guess we know how the Broncos feel

They lost this badly IN THE SUPERBOWL

Best post I have read this morning.

Much as I love the Patriots i don't live and die with them. The loss, especially a beatdown like that always sucks but the season is long and there ia plenty of time to right the ship, and while i don't believe Brady is done by any means I will still be able to accept it if that is the case and they have to move on next year. This has been a great team for 13 years and i still have faith they can get it together this season but if they can't I will be really interested to see how they deal with it.

Kelvin Benjamin wouldn't offset the 27 points we got spanked by last night.

I feel worse than after the superbowl losses as after them at least we knew the future of this organization was solid for the foreseeable future, for the first time I feel like the future is on a bit of shaky ground...

So, uh. You guys think that the Simpsons will outlast the prospective JAG era? It'll definitely outlast both Brady and Manning's tenures in the NFL.

I don't find it normal to get depressed over the Patriots. And I love them as much as anyone. But in the end it's entertainment and not something I get depressed about. I wasn't depressed after any playoff loss or when Brady went down in 2008. So why be now? The team could go 5-11 and I would not be depressed.
lol im not talking about clinical depression.

I am aware. Again, the Pats are entertainment to me. It sucks to watch them lose but doesn't greatly affect my desire to follow them.

i follow them no matter what. i wasnt suggesting otherwise but i was very disapointed.

One thing to remember...9-7 might still win this division.

That's what I think too.

The Giants beat the PATS in the SB with a 9 - 7 record. So much has to improve that its seems impossible.

I remember how ****ty that Giants team was in Week 4. Their defense was by far the worst in the NFL at that point; torched by Green Bay in an epic week 2 beatdown.

It's the god damned NFL. Anything can happen between now and the playoffs. This could still be a Super Bowl winning team, but it's also easy to see the path to mediocrity by the end of the season.

Time will tell. Til then, I'm just gonna crack on...

I've got a theory about Brady that I think is well reasoned and defensible, but today, in this environment and in this place...not the time to trot that out.

I was at the game last night.

Just when you thought it couldn't possibly get worse it did. I am becoming immune to these type losses though after being present for both SB losses and a few other post season losses. Denver last AFCC was a tough 9 hour drive home.

I recall reading the Giants boards and them ripping the team up and down.

Brady looks like he doesn't care anymore.

Everyone was ripping that Giants team. They were a legitimate mess.

As for Brady, I'd be surprised if that was the case. I suppose time will tell regarding Brady.

I watched ten minutes of SportsNation today and wanted to blow my brains out. Not because of the loss but how the media is reacting to it. I really can't wait for Sunday night.

Nope

Ill try the readers digest version. Long time ago watching pats, bad decade for them, i got really upset watching a game, ended up sick. Then a smart person said to me, no matter what happens in the game, the Pats etc. have no control over my life, wont change it one way or another ever. I live by that now.

If the lose they lose, I feel disappointed for a short time and move on, like 30 minutes. I dont yell or sear or get upset. At the end of the day I still got a team I like to watch and no matter what happens I will.

I said last night here on the forums I was going to stop watching that game at a certain point...I lied, I watched it all, but they are my team. Looking forward to next week no matter what, still like seeing the Jets lose though.

There's a lot worse things to be depressed about than losing last night. I was depressed(slightly) when we lost in 2011, I was depressed when I realized I was friendzoned by a girl I cared about. I wasn't even slightly depressed by this game. I was disappointed. It's one thing to be outplayed but I have no idea what we are trying to do. What's our identity?
