Did anyone honestly expect us to beat KC on the road?

We barely got by a miserable Raider team who had to fly cross country to play us in a 1pm game!

It's time to face up to what's been obvious from week 1. We don't have a very good team this year. If by some miracle we make the playoffs, expect to be one and done.

People call/called me crazy when I said that it seems as if Bill is setting the stage to move on from Brady after the season. It'll be interesting to see how many still think that take sounds crazy as this season sinks on deeper into the abyss.

It's been an AMAZING (all time) run. But it's over friends. It'll be nice to see how many stick around through some leaner times (unless Gropp falls into the Steve Young/A-Rodgers category).

On a positive note, he has looked damn better than I ever expected. I'm actually excited to see what he's got and what the future holds for us.

They could have made it a game and possibly won had the coaching staff done their part. Bringing only 3 wr's and 5 rb to this game and not even trying to get wright involved is pathetic. And I agree. Bb is phasing Tom out and making his numbers appear worse then what they are.

I thought we would loose. But that we atleast would be somewhat competetive.

I wouldn't have bet us @ +3.

But we didn't lose, we got the Ving Rhames in pulp fiction treatment last night.

Dressing only three WR on pass first Team is like bring a knife to a shoot out good one BB.

I guess we will wait for @alamo to deliver the results of the weekly score predicting thread and find out. I'm betting the majority of people here picked NE to win.

Yes, I expected us to win. I expected a close and low scoring game. My prediction was 13-7 Pats. I mistakingly thought this defense was actually good. It turns out that it's actually worse than it was last year. And there's really nothing that needs to be said about the offense.

Needless to say, I no longer have any expectations for the remainder of the season. If they somehow turn it around and surprise me then great. I will be thrilled. But I am not counting on it.

I didn't expect the Patriots to win last night and had picked the Chiefs in the suicide pool over on PatriotsPlanet (which I've pretty much given up because it's impossible to talk about the Patriots realistically without being banned).

Since they lost to Miami, this team has been reminding me of the '77-'78 Celtics - Havlicek's last season (at age 37) - which completely fell apart two years after winning the NBA championship.

Back then of course we had Red Auerbach at the helm (but with team ownership the worst ever) - I do think BB is thinking past the Brady era and wants to establish his legacy with a new QB - I don't think he is intentionally trying to make Brady bad.

I also think the team misses Dante Scarnecchia a lot - this really shouldn't be all that surprising.

A surprising number (or maybe not so much given last night's results) picked the Chiefs to win. But I doubt anyone came close to predicting the blowout score.
