So our best player on the team is our Gunner. Hmmm

van pelts hot take on ESPN...this is not an abnormality...this could very well be who the pats are all year...bad O with decent D.....i hope not

Look, please understand...I am NOT the one that wants to wrench your precious Brady away from all of you. Who in their right mind wanted Seymour traded away when THAT happened? All I'm saying is what you are seeing is either the WORST display of coaching and personnel in league history or it is part of a gradual move away from Tom Brady, franchise QB. The stats say it all.
They'd purposely throw the game so they can move onto Jimmy? Or am I misinterpreting this.

It's sacrilege to say, but if this team goes 7-9 I could see them trading Brady in the offseason to an NFC contender like SF or Chicago or Arizona. If they can get a first and more BB would do it. Econ 101.

Sacrilege? A part of me inside wants Brady to go to a team like San Fran and have a legit chance at #4. What's hes putting up with is unreal right now.

I don't see much changing. Brady is going to get sacked frequently, Amendola will continue to be the worst starting WR in the NFL, and the ghost of All-Pro Gronk will continue.

Somehow I feel better after Tom's presser.

The fact that Amenola is even on this roster is embarrassing. How is this guy starting over Thompkins???? (I give Dobson a pass, probably still a few weeks away)

There was no passion at all in this team tonight. The only fire I saw was on Jimmy's first drive. Even then it ended with a sputter because it's not like the TD mattered at that point.

There is no QB controversy though that will not stop people from talking about it and frankly I'm really not in the mood to hear it. If we play like this next week I would not be surprised for hear people calling for Jimmy.

The defense was atrocious. The forgot how to tackle and the scheme is all wrong.

Coaching is a disgrace. Belichick, Patricia and McDaniels totally screwed the pooch in this game. There wasn't a good look on either side of the ball. And you can say part of it started with the inactives today.

Brady was making poor decisions all over the field. He had some time tonight with a slightly improved O-Line and still was forcing into coverage. I understand that his receivers can't always get open as fast as he'd like but throwing into Double coverage, not running for a first down when you are 2 yards away. rushing your passes to your first read. Just total and complete mental errors.

This game was so frustrating just because of the way we lost. Just absolute failure all the way around. This team is NOT good. I will hold out hope that we can win every game and will go into it optimistically every week but I am not going to delude myself into thinking this team is good. Let alone pat of the best in the league.

I wouldn't mind that. TB deserves a fourth he doesn't deserve being put into a position like this no matter what anyone says.

This hurts because I love Brady get the man some damn weapons.
Whatever it takes make a trade dig to the ends of the earth because this cast is not getting it done.
Who can spread the field for this team?
I still say Tyms.
Do you remember when Brady came in and threw that game winning pass to Glenn vs San Diego it seems so long ago.
Bring in Weiss as a coaching assistant.

at least we are not the Raiders

I do too. He deserves to end his career with better than what he is given right now.

The Sanders/LaFell situation is really what sinks it. I mean how the **** do you first lowball Sanders on the RFA offer which is idiotic enough but then when he is a FA you let him go to Denver where he is looking like an All Pro and instead opt to sign Donald Hayes 2.0. And you can't say it's money when you're sitting under the cap. That was the final straw for me.

Could you imagine the play action thanks to Gore with Brady throwing to Davis, Crabtree and Boldin? Scary right there. If Brady is mishandled by this organisation anymore than he is now he should try and go see out his career at his boyhood team because he DESERVES it.

If Brady went to the 49ers, Kaepernick would swiftly be cleaning Brady's cleats and they would be superbowl champions.
Nope. SF won't start Brady over Kaep unless Kaep is having consecutive bad games. He is young and hasn't reached his prime.

I don't believe in fickle whims of fate.... not with the Pats and BB...there is ALWAYS a plan. Look, I'm not saying any of this post facto. I said this WELL BEFORE this game. I could see this coming. The pregame WR roster confirmed it. Now Brady has been pulled and the KID has led the team, dead as a green rat, to a TD.

There are things going on here strategically I believe.

Joker, do you really think this team doesn't want Tom to succeed?

Are you crazy? Kaepernick over Brady? Do you know how average Kaep is? He's Mark Sanchez with legs.

I can't shake the feeling that right now, this team is being killed by the coaches and front office. The coaches aren't putting the players in positions to succeed, they are not maximising whatever strengths the Patriots players have and they have hit the fork in the road where Brady appears incapable of covering up roster decisions.

Brady has carried this team on his back long enough. Should demand a trade.

It's still training camp....talk to me at the bye
