A few years ago, people were touting McD to take over from BB. Now, we don't even want him to coach our kid's little league team. How fast the tides have turned.

I don't think I have ever seen Brady like this. You can tell he wants to say something so bad, and he's frustrated right now tip-toeing the company line. Usually he's pretty happy and content doing BB speak. Tonight, he's not.

The kid led the team to a TD against a soft Cover-3 shell. The most vanilla defense you could possibly run.

And James White was averaging 7 yards a carry. He ain't starting next week either.

I know that, Kontra. Don't you think BB didn't realize this and get the kid in there for his first taste? I do.Planting seeds...it's what he's always done

The Patriots struggled to beat a team at home on the verge of firing their coach (have since done so), and then got blown-out on national television. Now, they have perhaps the best team in the AFC coming off a bye coming in on a short-week.

Based off what I've seen tonight, things can't get much worse than this. I can't see them winning this week.

May be an overreaction, but this doesn't look good longterm:

What's the endgame for Brady? He lets this mediocre OL/WR core accelerate his decline. Then what, try to fix these problems in 2015 when he's 38 years old?

At this point in his career, he needs a team like the 49ers with a loaded WR core, strong OL/runningame, and defense. We're nowhere close to having that.

I posted this before the game...just didn't make sense ...unless.

well, we'll find out soon enough. When has Brady ever come out after a pick 6? He's being isolated on purpose.

Wonder how one would deliberately sabotage brady... Get rid of welker, get rid of moss but dont find a quality WR. Replace light with Solder, replace Koppen with Wendell, replace Mankins with Devey. With luck one star TE ends up in jail while the other ends up in a wheelchair. If only that pesky edelman wasnt such an overachiever, it would be mission accomplished.

I thought Brady didn't want a beard after week one? That's why they lost!

This bringing up 2003 as a reference is ridiculous. That was 11 years ago people. This is NOT THE SAME. The Pats are simply not good enough. The 2003 Pats had veteran leaders everywhere on the offense and defense. Those leaders are not in the locker room and aren't coming through the door anytime soon. This is not the same team... ALL of the players other than Tom and Vince weren't on the SB winning teams. Mentally we will see how tough these kids are...

This is very worrisome because this doesn't look like the same team we've seen in the past decade, this looks like a team that has no heart, no pride outside of a few.

This reminds me more of the late 90's Pats than the 2003 Pats.

I'm going to crawl into bed and try to get my girlfriend to at least give me a tug. You may be right, but don't overestimate what he did. Good night.

And she'll probably cuss me out.

Well I'll keep telling myself it's only 1 game, but that was pretty disappointing.

Did we even scout these guys? The D seemed completely surprised by about half the KC playbook.

The offense has no life right now. I know these are only quick images, and there's probably more going on that we're not seeing on camera, but when I see TB on the bench staring at the ground between possessions, it's a painful comparison to the days when he'd be huddling with the OC or the linemen discussing what needed to change for the next series.

Hopefully getting steamrolled like this will light a fire under this team. I think the talent is there for this team to go deep into the playoffs, but not at the energy level they showed tonight.

BB holds his players accountable for their actions out on the field so I think it's time for BB to be held accountable for the highly questionable personnel decisions he's made for this team. Not just for his player personnel moves but at the co-ordinator and coaching spots as well.

This team looks woefully undermanned on all fronts at the moment.

Look, please understand...I am NOT the one that wants to wrench your precious Brady away from all of you. Who in their right mind wanted Seymour traded away when THAT happened? All I'm saying is what you are seeing is either the WORST display of coaching and personnel in league history or it is part of a gradual move away from Tom Brady, franchise QB. The stats say it all.

I posted this in the other thread, but will post it here too. Steve Young is absolutely right as far as the offense goes.

Did people think Brady would just trot his 37 year old body out there and carry jags like 2006? Make Tom Terrific magic with a bottom 5 Oline? I'm not ready to say Brady is done until I actually see him with a basic amount of NFL starters @ the pass catching positions. A line that a human can stand behind for 2 seconds. Brady and the offensive production masked a lot of warts for a lot of years. Now that he's older unable to carry trash, things start to unravel, shocking. He will miss throws, he will evade rushers less, 37 year old QB's do that. But you can't tell me that this is his current level of play. That we put him and the offense in the best position to succeed.

If Brady is done, BB is Barbeque chicken.

It's sacrilege to say, but if this team goes 7-9 I could see them trading Brady in the offseason to an NFC contender like SF or Chicago or Arizona. If they can get a first and more BB would do it. Econ 101.

ESPN our best friends are telling the nation NE is garbage, I can't think of the usual homers here having an excuse for Brady purposely throwing that intercepted pass, getting benched.

Had to be paid off, worst game of his career IMO
