Rebirth of the 2TE primary set tonight?

Maybe a 2TE/Pony hybrid... Gronk & Wright plus Vereen & White/Ridley on the field at the same time, plus Edelman lined up outside. I think that might be effective against KC.

The sad thing is Brady's best two WRs not named Edelman may be sitting in the press box tonight.

Last WR comment before the game from me:

What is BB going to do next offseason if Dobson/KT/Amendola continue their path? 2015 rookie WRs aren't going to help a 38 year old Brady. Will BB actually pay for a top WR?

What Young said is nice and all, but are we just going to give Dilfer a pass? He basically attacked the organization by saying that they don't want to win Super Bowls, only make money. Hey Trent, how does 3 straight AFCCGs and a SB appearance NOT MEAN ****? I guess 31 teams only want to make money and not win SBs. Leave it to the guy who's defense won a SB IN SPITE of his offense. I don't want to hear this " he was a game-manager QB" because it's garbage. He was a bad QB who lucked into a title.

I have been saying it for a year, the window is closing with Brady and when it closes the odds/percentages that this team continues to succeed like it has are very slim.

In fairness, they did finally get him a competent defense, and that's been the issue of late in the playoffs.

No because they never have and never will which is an absolute joke and is something BB needs to be called out for.

I think Young and ESPN was totally off the mark. They have been one of the most successful teams in the NFL for the last 13 years! They do that by not selling out for old washed up players. The accomplishment is made more impressive by existence of the salary cap and the later in the draft picks.

It is not at all clear that Mankins was still able to play at high level, and the patriots were able to get him another offensive threat out of the deal.

ESPN wants to have a good story and create controversy, don't fall for the bs.

What we need is another Bob Gladeux from the stands at WR tonight!

I think at least Dobson is the future of this team. I think ultimately he will be a good receiver. I just don't think they are doing him or Thompkins any favors deactivating them though. It is clear they were deactivated for scheme (and I still think Dobson is still working his way back). I don't think this is performance base.

I'm so stupid... A week ago, I was thinking: enough of Amendola/LaFell, time to let Dobson/KT take their lumps and get some game action.

Damn only 4 of the espn guys picked the Pats to win

Not to be facetious, but if you have to choose between Revis and a WR, would you let Revis walk?

(I'm not saying the choice is obvious, merely that it is a likely tradeoff to land a top-10 WR.)

I guess you missed Moss & Welker then?

People need to calm down with this "not helping Brady" thing, you don't go out to help 1 player, you help the entire team and what they did was rebuild the defense.

The Offense might not be very pretty but it will get better when they have some time to actually gel.

Personally, I do not agree with ESPN. Saying that the Patriots brain trust has consciously eschewed team building in favor of saving money is hyperbole.

IMHO their track record has been rather spotty in recent years on some draft picks/free agent signings when addressing the offense, but to say this is because they are consciously bringing in inferior talent to save money, as opposed to just a bad streak in personnel decisions for the offense, is a fairly large leap in logic.
