Ndamukong Suh?

I hate him because he's dangerous and dirty, so yes, I'd love him to somehow end up a Patriot.

I don't know if the Pats can fit him under the cap (his base salary is over $11 million) and the Lions are in the still very much in the playoff hunt. There is no way the Pats are trading for him this year.

Re-sign important Free Agents
Continue to stock the Offensive Line
Sign Suh.

That's my priority order at the end of the season. Suh would be a great pick up but he would need to mature somewhat. Amazing player, annoying player.

Suh, Jones, Nink and Easly?

All this trade talk is compelling, but what do you think the Lions would want for him??

If you brought him in could you fit McCourty, Revis etc. under the salary cap??

We have a pretty good d right now, would focus a little more on the O side..

He'd be nice to have. But I think he will be too expensive. We already have a good D. What we need before we go on another DT is offensive linemen that can block for Brady. I see resigning of McCourty and getting an oline as more important than getting Suh.

No way we can afford him. Would be a nice piece but by no means necessary.

Pats sing him & Goodell will find an infraction to suspend him for a season

No thanks

If trade we must, trade the 4th for a competent starting guard

maybe next year after we see how much money we have left after extending mccourty, signing a new cb to replace revis, and dumping amendola, arrington, and Lafell.

Read some rumblings about Suh and the Jets. That's not a scenario I would care to see...

There's no denying Suh's talent, but the price would be prohibitive.

I'm not even talking about trading, because that's absurd. The Lions are on a POff hunt and Suh is a team captain and a top 3 player there. He won't be coming for less than a first round pick. I don't think anyone with a working brain ( so that the Jets still are on scene) would make this trade, considering that he has 1 year left of this contract.

Now about signing him next year, a guy like Suh will probably demand a big fat contract. Something like 14M/Y if i have to guess. The pats simply don't posses that kind of space, and I'm not even considering some contract extensions on the horizon (McCourty for one)

Also, it's said that Suh wants to play in NY. He's already known as a troublemaker, but after that report, it's clear that he's insane. I am not a fan of that kind of mentality on our lockerroom

Revis long term, how long is he expected to be good for. Nobody is trading a quality good starting guard for a Round4 pick. That Talib thing was rare. Bills buddy helping him out. This OLine has no anchor. If they are to trade for a guard it should done right, as in somebody who can anchor a line and maybe even play tackle well if needed. Of course I would prefer a WR or OLineman but you never turn down a blue chipper. I would really like Easley to be like Geno Atkins but its not a sure thing.

This is why you draft for talent and upside. Patriots drafted Jemea Thomas but should have taken a flier on Seantrel Henderson. He is reminding many of Orlando pace and looking very very impressive with sheer power and athleticism. He was just one of those dudes who didn't want to go to class. However he likes to play football and is one of the hardest workers on the team already. All that good grades in college and choir boy smart junk used to describe Wendell doesn't mean jack once your on the field with nasty powerful explosive football players. It comes down to talent, Henderson has it, Wendy and Halapio doesn't

It would be perfect. He'd do the seemingly impossible: lower the collective IQ of the Jets' DL. And he'd be worse there than he has in Detroit, as he'd have nothing but encouragement there to act like the ***hat he is. He'd be suspended more than he'd play.

He can't play o-line, so no thanks

If Wilkersson, Richardson and Suh is on the same line then I say we sit Brady that game and play a practise squad QB.

Gymrat,
It may well be so that no quality OL is available for trade, period.
But before being ignorantly dismissive, you might want to look at history and trades for 4th round picks.

Ted Washington starting high quality NT that got us a SB ring.
Randy Moss.

There is no way any of your can say this will never happen. If I was telling you last year at this time that we'd sign Revis this off season I probably would have been banned.
