Sunday’s NFL Games (week 4)

Hmmmmm

Is that like becoming fan of a team simply because there may be 1 person on a 53 person team that they do like?
I am a fan of the Pats and 49ers for a variety of reasons.

Tebow has been off the Pats roster for over a year now and I am still rooting for them as I have for longer than you know.

I have seen your hateful posts towards those on the forum who like something you don't or those you don't like etc.You have no room to talk.

You have no idea why I am a fan of whatever teams or people I have been a fan of. You don't even know me.

Good luck boys, try your best

Just when I thought the Steelers had the look of a wild card contending team they go out there today and do that. Not that I'm complaining...

I don't know, the Jets meltdown was about as good as it gets for week #4.
Usually we have to wait for #8 or so for the kind of SOJ meltdown that includes everything from Quarterbacks to fans to twitter accounts.

I usually take the Jet's sucking for granted. I can't even remember the last time the division was in question with a healthy Brady. So in a way it's hard for me to enjoy any divisional the way other do, I live and work in the heart of Steeler country so it's alot easier to despise them.

One thing I will note is that there is alot of christian bigotry on this board as noted in the comments here.

Cc,
No disrespect at all to you and you can like any players you choose. But some people see a Christian Bias here on occasion too.

People should lay of Christiancat. There's much worse posters out there. Who cares what religion he is?

Were you a fan of the pats before Tblow came here?

Nobody cares that you root for the pats.

I treat people here how they deserve to be treated. If they act like an ass they get treated like one. If they are hypocrites like you are being, then I point it out.

Given your response its obvious you were being one and you are now trying to squirm out of it by red herring the discussion to death. This isnt about me, its about you. YOU are the one who brought up posters being hypocrites when you are the biggest one here.

God hates a hypocrite. You should be ashamed.
Also, the fact that you follow my posting really creeps me out. I mean really, of all the posters to tell me they dont like how and why I post I had to have a crazy looney with the Tblow shrine in their mons basement.

Yuck, I feel dirty. Put me on ignore please. You are scary.

Why on Earth would you want to be fool enough to think you've got the 1985 Bears when you've got the 2008 Lions?

OF COURSE being a fan should be an exercise in attempted objectivity, some of the time. Your team plays a limited number of minutes, in a limited number of games. Willingly being wrong about that team 24/7 makes no sense.

Deus Irae,

It depends on why you are following sports. Of course, I would agree objectivity is absolutely essential if I were gambling heavily on the outcome. But I purposely don't gamble. This is relaxation and only escapist entertainment, for me, relief when my profession demands constant objective reality, otherwise.

For others such as yourself, objective realism in this activity is more important, and it is what it is now; and not what it will or may be. tomorrow.

The Patriots may not be the '85 Bears, who won for only 18 months with very good talent, and a gimmick overload defense; but they are not the 2008 Lions, either.

After planning and drafting to do so, Belichick consciously tore apart, and is in the midst of rebuilding the Offensive line. He is doing it to overcome the size, talent and age limitations that became apparent, largely only, against teams with good lines in the penultimate games.

I have seen him do that for all of the other squads in turn, the LBs, the CBs etc. and it hurts the team while undergoing the transformation early in the long season. But he judged those changes necessary, and history has proved him largely correct.

Accepting the Mankins trade opportunity, revamping further than planned, may just have been a "Bridge too Far" in 2014. We shall see, and that makes it fun and interesting for me.

It is also a great intellectual and instructive exercise to watch a Maestro at his work. I believe I can see what he aims to accomplish, and can anticipate what the team will be like when done. So I can ignore the blood and surgical pain.

I believe BB is building a dominant team, greater than any he has fielded to date. It may not be ready yet, it is almost complete. But I think the Team he is constructing will become and remain dominant for the balance of the 'teens.

With the defense now very good, young and reconstructed, one more draft for D and O linemen and a LB is all that remains to do, other than replacing unanticipated career terminations and retaining key players, et cetera.

How Maestro Belichick has manipulated the CAP for today, and juggled it for tomorrow, is also fascinating exercise to follow in itself. It is reassuring that he can keep the planned, coming, construct together, too .

Explain where my recent comment regarding Rivers to Brady has anything to do with a Christian Bias.

Rivers won me over as a fan when he gutted out the 2007 AFC Championship game on a torn MCL.

Compare that to Lady Ann Tomlinson pouting on the bench with his helmet on...

It's Tebow not Tblow. Your hate is astounding and well noted though.

I am not trying to squirm out of anything. I am still here. I didn't do anything wrong. I treat other members with respect. It's something you could learn.

Go ahead and call me all the names you like it says alot more about you than it does me.

Why haven't you put me and those who like Tebow on ignore?

I don't follow your postings I just see them all over the main forum becuase you post in alot of threads and make alot of posts. Remeber you quoted me first as I don't usually quote you even though I disagree with alot of what you have to say.

I wonder when Romo will throw his game losing pick tonight... I'll say he'll be in Saints territory when it happens.

Seems about the same to me, but for the sake of discussion it could also be similar to disliking people on an internet forum just because they do not like Tim Tebow. Maybe CC would like to share with the class his thoughts on Richard Sherman, which will be the kettle meeting the pot.

Michael Vick is doing a good job mentoring Geno. Already has him telling fans to **** off.

I am surprised you diddnt use I'm rubber you're glue.

You never do anything wrong. Just call everyone hypocrites when you are the biggest here.

What do names have to do with this. Why dont you get it? YOU Started in with the accusations. What was funny is what you accuse everyone of. Its comical.

Who are those who like Tbow here?

This has nothing to do with religion.

When Brady gets fired up so to speak does anyone here claim he has an atitude? no

But when rivers gets fired up than its fine and a mark of a true competitor.

What does that have to do with religion. It's about being hypocritical.

I like Tom Brady and Phillip. I have no problem with how either player carriers themselves.

No, there really isn't. You make a point to jump on everyone for saying anything negative about anyone in the league if they're religious. You manage to make every rivalry, every mention of dislike for any player, and just about everything a religious topic when it's completely ridiculous. You might not of brought it up here, but that's only because everyone knows your MO by now.

If the Jets draft a Christian quarterback next season, are you going to be in the `Jets sucks` thread lecturing everyone on our attitude towards him?

Kaepernick's religion is the absolutely LAST thing anyone here who trashes on him was thinking about, but it's the first reason you come running to his defense.

I know that as a Patriots fan I have a picture of Russell Wilson with his parents in my signature, that way when I only show up on the board to defend Russell Wilson there will be no confusion about my bias.

People should lay of Christiancat. There's much worse posters out there. Who cares what religion he is?

There are plenty of christian fans who simply are wary of Tebow...and kapernick supposedly used a racial slur last week.

I like a whole bunch of players on other teams like aaron rodgers and russell wilson, but in no way would i put a signature pic of either of them on a pats forum.

I never got all the talk about how good the Saints' defense was going to be. They aren't that good at all.

Solid start for the Boys.
